I don't trust Snyder in anything that involves the other Bats other than Bruce. EX: I am fully prepared to see Damian get shown up by Duke in his 'METAL' appearance.
You'd be in denial if you can't see the obvious contempt Snyder has for Robin since he couldn't make Duke an actual Robin.
'I can't write Damian because he's too young, too close to home'
One minute later:
'Hey guys look at my new OC, DUKE THOMAS! A TEEN HERO!'
Shot himself on the foot on that one. People were calling him out BIG TIME.
Duke isn't even in the actual Metal book. Snyder has said he didn't like writing Damian because of him being so young, he's 13 now so he may be a little different to the character now since he is gonna show up in Metal. Either way, he's not the main Batman writer anymore, so why continue blaming him for Damian appearances?
-
I miss David. He was awesome, clicked with the character the first time I saw him on a book.
-
David got a shot but his status quo was too radical for a Batman family character so they brought in a new guy. Who is more interesting doesn't matter, Luke served a function Zavimbe couldn't.
Duke serves nothing.

Probably cause Snyder is head honcho of the Batman stuff and is their cash cow writer, and go with his suggestions all the time.

He still has control otherwise there wouldn't be a Batman and Signal series.

Maybe during the new 52, but I doubt they had to get Snyder's approval for Batman to propose to Catwoman or for Tim Drake to go missing. After Metal and the Duke mini, Snyder is done with Batman besides those artist focused stories anyways.
-
After Metal, I think Snyder has this 'DKR esque' Batman story he wants to tell too. This dude does not want to leave Batman as much as he should right now,
Luke has definitely grown on me.
The same, with Luke Fox.

Which he has been talking about and teasing since that detective 27 anniversary issue during the new 52. And I'm not trying to sound like a smart alleck, but he already left batman as well as his spin off title, you can easily ignore all of these books he is still doing. It's the same way Grant Morrison still does Batman stories from time to time.

Grant Morrison has written any Batman stories in 4 years, he's just teased two and both of them could be years away. Snyder's final 2 stories that he planned for All Star will likely be out in 2018 most assuredly. You cant compare really.
-
Good point with Morrison mate, still doesn't change the fact that Snyder is Batgod of DC.

Proposing to Catwoman doesn't hurt Duke and why would he care if Tim goes missing? that actually benefits Duke. Look Snyder has a vested interest in Duke, creators come up with new characters all the time that's fine. But Duke flunked, so did Harper, every attempt is a waste of resources.

Snyder.... I am happy for see that Batman know that Tim is alive after the last chapter of Detective Comics..

The point I was saying is Snyder doesn't control what goes on in each Batman book. We will see next year if Duke's mini fails if the character still keeps popping up, until then, there is no proof of Snyder forcing a push for the character when he has only appeared in all star batman for the past year.

But Mark Doyle, previous main editor of Batman's line and current editor of Batman is the person who got Snyder in the comics first place. The were rumors that he got the editor's job partly because he got so well along with Snyder.
Tynion is Snyder's former pupil, with whom Snyder collaborates constantly.
Of course Snyder doesn't control everything (if he did, WB would have not veto'ed Duke as Robin), but it's not unrealistic at all to suggest that his ideas and opinons would be accommondated by Batman editors and other writers
