Age of Heroes #4. A short mini.
Basically, someone doesn't like Shuri's rule and challenges her right to rule via combat (Like Killmonger vs T'Challa in the Priest run, for example). She accepts, take a few hits at first, and then takes over the fight right after.
Edit.............

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat
i've never heard of this lol
Is she in just #4? is this Canon?
I didn't know the Trial Challenge thing had been mentioned since Priest (unless you count Back to Africa with Killmonger I guess).
Good timing... working on a history of "power sources" in the BP mythos and was just about the start the Tribal Challenge/Right of Ascension post lol

Yes, she showed up only in #4. It should be cannon. Mayberry wrote that story.
Another interesting tidbit from that story: Shuri actually kept her word and set up a parliament presenting the tribes of Wakanda, as she promised in Doomwar. She still had absolute rule, but parliament could express their grievances directly to her during the meetings.
That guy she's fighting is actually a member of parliament. He called her out and challenged her to combat with the throne on the line. She accepts and they fight.
So what exactly are Shuri's new powers again?
So what exactly are Shuri's new powers again?
nobody knows for sure yet. She just came back
Other than vague description (using history) and then fan theory (increased speed, turning to stone, flight via birds).
So what exactly are Shuri's new powers again?
We'll find out in issues #9 and #10.
Current theory: super speed, turning skin to stone, flying by transforming into flock of birds, full knowledge of Wakanda's history, and connection to ancient queens of Wakanda.

The bolded, further illustrates just how dishonest Coatestake on the BP mythos was (and still remains) from day one.
not to mention tchalla bringing back the tribal council thing in Priest's run
or the tribal elders in the Gillis mini who had the power to take power from T'challa when they believed the panther god left him.
There has been many instances of a "secondary" body of power in Wakanda.

True, but usually said secondary power was often overruled by the monarchy. In the Priest run, T'Challa was able to outright disband tribal council/parliament in the "Enemy of the state" arc.
This time, I get the feeling that said parliament will be just as powerful as the monarchy. The monarchy won't be the dominant political force of Wakanda any longer.
Shuri and T'Challa in Lego Marvel's Avengers.

Yup, and the skybike was available for gameplay too.
An earlier version of the 'interactive' BP mask during TRO.
