Agreed, though sometimes the turnover of writers is a good thing in regards to Peter (Aaron, Bendis, Lobdell (though he was around a long time) etc.).
And as long as JDW is X-editor, do not expect much for Colossus.
I did as well. It was both comical and depressing at the same time. Seeing him drunk and his messy "humble abode" was imo a good way of showing him react to getting his heart broken.
I was...
You are in good company.
I liked Whedon's take on Colossus. I could have just been super happy to have him back, but even rereading the series, I thought Peter was well written under the...
A lot of it seems to stem from their childhood crush on Kitty Pryde. There are numerous examples, a lot are mentioned previously in this thread, and on the Colossus appreciation thread from last year.
Agreed. It is always tough when the x-editor goes on record saying he hates Colossus.
I think one of the reasons he brought up the suicide option to Domino is he wants to clear his conscience. Something happened in Russia, and he is in the thick of it. Maybe he wants out, but cannot...
I am as well. This issue is still a bit down the road, so in the meantime, I hope to get my Colossus fix in the next few comics.
Maybe. It will be fun to see if it is an old school Marvel slugfest between two heavyweights. If the fight does happen, I do not want it to be on a splash page with other characters fighting, and the...
All right, so Colossus did not die, according to Percy. Even with Colossus not being in the series much, I really dig Benjamin Percy as a writer. He has made me interested in other characters I...
Peter has always been a big guy in his human form. He is 6'6, worked heavily on a farm until he was 16/17 when he joined the X-Men, and then worked out in both his human form and when he "armored up"...
Yeah, remember when Peter would buy Kitty booze and cigarettes? Then drive his white van to the cemetary? He was a scumbag.

When did Colossus die? Did he even die, and this Peter is not the real deal? That would not make sense. I kind of like to keep guessing, but as usual, I have a bad feeling about this...
Hang on a second...I picked up the book on my lunch break and flipped through it. Now in the waning hours of my workday, I read it. When did Colossus die? During his recovery? Before? Something is...
Good call...
I agree, I hope Percy treats Colossus well. I was never never big on the Domino thing, but whatever, it is good to see him back in action.
That said, he has not been the psycho ex since WatXM (and...
Agreed. While I thought the whole Cap'n Kate concept was cool, the codename Shadowcat is very awesome. Why not Cap'n Shadowcat?
I understand she has grown as a character in a lot of different...
Or even mid-70's to mid-80's. Ugh, I feel bad I mentioned the name thing when I started this post, but 95% of the time (probably more) he was referred to as Peter, which was not his birth name, but...
Of course, she was still in Russia when he came to the US, that is all she knew him as. My brother has a nickname amongst his friends, but I still call him by his first name.
Oh, I know it is his birth name. But he was rarely referred to as Piotr, in the books and in fandom, until his stint in Excalibur.
Time to give props to the best X-Man of them all. Yes, we have to wait another month to see how DoX deals with our favorite mutant in the next issue of X-Force, but with an editor who has gone on...
I loved those back up stories in Classic X-Men. Between reading the issues that I was too young (and for the first year or so, not born yet) to get caught up on, and how Claremont fleshed out the...
Haha, no, they have no clue. But they will go to Wikipedia or some wiki, and come back tomorrow like experts.
Get Jason Aaron over to DC fast, like Bendis. There are a few DC books he could write, and I vote with my wallet, so it will save me some money.
