Considering the sudden perks that Peter has, along with the rushed, BS return of "Peter Parker" at the end of "S"SM, I honestly wouldn't be surprised.

If Dan REALLY meant that, why did he give Peter a company, access to fight crime around the world, and more money than Peter knows what to do with? Sounds like a kicked football to me.
