I've been reading through the excellent 80's Green Arrow series by Mike Grell, Dan Jurgens, and others, and while I like the character of Shado and the stories involving her, I'm really put off that...
I think the idea is that we have been spending years and years watching society come back, and specifically Rick guide and shape society coming back. Each group, each community Rick encountered and...
I've been reading for 15 years and I thought the ending was great. I wish it would've happened after 25-75 more issues but they stuck the landing just the same.
Have the following received oversized hardcover releases or any inkling of an oversized hc release in the future?
DK III
Batman White Knight
Ellis' The Wildstorm (and any titles related to it)
especially considering the third army arc makes absolutely no sense without issues not included in the omnibus.
Was Deadpool Classic omnibus reprinted at some point? I find it hard to believe it's still in the readily available category.
Personally I'd say yes. While Nemesis and Wanted can be brain-dead and offensive, OML is just lazy as hell and dumb. The laziest uninspired post-apocalyptic tropes, and those stupid X-Box's.
...
Grendel is highly deserving...I just hope they wouldn't repeat the mistakes of the omnibus and put the mediocre b/w/r r/w/b stuff in the front (or at all really) and leave out some of the more...
Nope...I suppose we're lucky to have gotten the four that we did...
Yes, definitely the worst thing Millar has ever written...although strangely enough he followed it up with a bunch of the best stuff he's ever written (Jupiter's, Starlight, Huck, etc).
Popular consensus seemed to be no, especially coming after Hickman's masterful run.
Right, so they currently are OHC size, whereas you would prefer Absolute size.
It's not finished, the deluxe is just the first 3 tpb's. Hopefully Ellis gets back to it (and Trees) sooner than later.
Every opinion I've encountered says it's one of the worst things of all time so I stayed away...
You mean 52 by Grant Morrison, Mark Waid, Greg Rucka, Geoff Johns, and Keith Giffen?
Yes. The tie-ins were fine but more in the "pick up the tpb's for 5 bucks at a convention" way rather than a nice oversized hardcover.
Huh...well now I've heard it all
toldja
.....
I finished the second Detective Comics Rebirth arc, The Victims Syndicate, and I really enjoyed it. The themes have been done before (Busiek's Superman arc Camelot Falls comes to mind) but Tynion...
Stray Bullets
Yes, publication order-wise it came after the main book and so "should" be read that way, but it's not like there are any spoilers to the main book or anything (like there would be if you watched SW...
thanks for your sacrifice to the cause
It's not a shame, because it is already collected in the exact same oversized hardcover format.
It *is* a shame that the entire JLA series has not been collected in omnibus form, from Morrison...
Metabarons Genesis: Castaka - Excellent work, a worthy prequel to The Metabarons.
