We don't have good numbers to compare, but so far everything hints at New 52 and Rebirth Flash selling significantly better than Spurier and Adams runs.

At this point I don't even remember clearly who is alive in what origin, but I think that in SO Lex didn't have family members who were still alive?

I suspect that Waller, Failsafe/Zur and House of Brainiac stoeylines were developed separately and only at some later point DC realised that they could use "Trinity" label there.

Other ending series were a bit more explicit about the series ending so I figure that this one will keep going.
