I distinctly remember Damian kicking all of the Robins' asses hard in that story. Duke wasn't anywhere as good as Dick, Damian, Tim or Jason. He was just a quick learner, which can be attributed to...
He's not going to go all out on a kid in a training session. He isn't that much of a Dick!
I'm guessing Grayson was Dick's shot at something new that might have helped him escape the sidekick mold. Looks like that might be out of the picture
The Joker's been revealed. And his name is...
JOOOOHN CENAAAAAA!!!!
At least that's something I'd consider buying
Considering Seeley's still writing, I think that some elements from Grayson flowing over is pretty much a given!
If we're talking movie versions (Batbale/Batkeaton - Batfleck a little less so) vs movie Captain, then the billionaires with fancy toys are probably more realistic than the ice-napping 1940's steroid...
Not to mention, that show relies on votes. With the El Capitano Americano movies out, Bucky's almost certain to get more than Dick.
I believe he did. Skipped it though, so I'm not too sure how it played out. Also, I believe Falcone was never killed in the new continuity. There still might have been a Holiday killer of some sort...
It's kind of hard to say. A few of the old stories were simply reworked into Batman: Zero Year (pretty much his entire first year in Gotham I guess), including "No Man's Land" and the Joker's origin...
Think it would depend heavily on the writer. If it's King/Seeley, I can see him keeping Spyral tech. If it's a new dude/another Bat writer, then I see a more traditional Broke Nightwing armory
"Nightwing Ass Media Potential Wonderful".
There, fixed the thread title for you.
Same creative team, or at least part of it has to stay for me. They've done great work.
If he does go back to being Batman-lite anytime soon, I might as well drop all my DC titles and throw money at Marvel.
WHY DC?!! WHY DO YOU MAKE ME LOVE SOMETHING AND THEN HINT AT KILLING IT SO...
I'm just glad he's getting some stories where he seems competent and capable, without getting jobbed out.
I think a pre-52 Dick and Tim could pull it off, if they can keep pre-52 Jason tied up in a secret cave room for eternity. In the nu-52, I don't know enough about nu-Tim. Dick and Jason might do well...
Gotta admit, it would be kind of funny to see Dick turn up in a bunch of other comics, trying to desperately convince female characters to go out with him and continuously failing miserably
Makes me think many of them don't actually buy the comic. They just see a few pics floating around and complain. At this rate I'm starting to get concerned that their disproportionately loud voice...
I can see it right now: Damian bursts through an army of children, advancing towards the Orphan, only to get accidentally tazed by Harper and run over by a steamroller
Twilight Vampire Roy? Could lead to some interesting stories
Maybe Orphan'll get distracted by Grayson's butt?
Considering Dick and Jason have a bit of a Leonardo/Raphael dynamic, I thought it was handled pretty well
Liked him in the Black Mirror. Everything else I either ignored or was kind of meh about. He works as a decent counter to BatDick, since he's pretty much the exact opposite
What if Spyral's attempts to corrupt Jason would end up with him seeing the light and becoming a full on good guy?
A negative x negative = positive type of thing :p
The good news is that both of them seem capable of pulling it off on their own. King in particular has impressed me, given his lack of major titles before this
