I've always found it odd that nothing from Slott has gotten the omni treatment. Seems like it would be easy enough to see a couple of omnibuses from Big Time to Superior Spider-man.
Ah, that makes sense. I was starting to think that was maybe the answer. Why couldn't they at least put in a paragraph with a brief run down of the Superman issue or at least let us know in some way...
Maybe someone can help me out here.
I just started reading Action Comics Rebirth Deluxe vol 2. I'm reading through the mr mxyzptlk arc and it feels like a comic is missing.
It goes Superman...
I've never stopped collecting but have been gone from the forums for awhile which means I don't keep up to date with solicits.
That is a lot of books for this year. I know people used to try and...
I really enjoyed early Cap, great artwork, to the point, often quirky stories and always ends in a good 'ol fashion Cap brawl.
I enjoyed is FF quite a bit too. And I liked his Secret Wars a lot. I was expecting another tiring alternate take on the Marvel universe but ended up really enjoying it.
And I think my favorite...
I like Hickman's plots and how they unravel but I would agree that his Avengers run pretty much turned the characters into gears whose sole purpose was to move the plot along. Very little character...
Thanks. Knowing that, I think I'll get the book. It will make it an easier reading experience than the OHCs. Although I don't if anything can make the last 4 or 5 issues enjoyable.
How are the issues laid out? In chronological order or by series?
Has anyone had their hands on the Avengers Hickman omnibus? I assume it's been placed in a specific order by Hickman but if it's not then I'll stick with the OHCs.
I will always love Executioner's....excuse me...X-cutioner's Song. And while I have a nonsensical attachment to Onslaught, I do recognize that it is not a gem.
I've been enjoying Soule's work with the Inhumans so far (Inhuman OHC and Uncanny Inhumans vol 1 OHC) so I'm happy to see a vol 2.
As for my vote this year; we just got the solicit for the Waid...
Some interesting omnibuses in there that I would not have expected....like Thor Heroes Reborn. Keep being your crazy self Marvel!
Yeah, I like Deathstroke when he is well written but there just isn't much out there. Will probably give this one a try.
I thought COO was pretty good, until the end. The last issue or two were the only bad parts of it for me.
I'm thinking about picking up the Deathstroke tpb by Priest but know nothing about it. Is it any good?
Aaaaaand Vader Vol 2 OHC is now leaving my cart. I continue to not understand Marvel's CE department.
Secret Wars was my getting off point.
I bought The Crossing when it was liquidated for about $15 hoping that once it sold out the price would go up. Seems like any time an omnibus goes out of print, people suddenly want it, regardless of...
Didn't he start out just advising too? I didn't realize he actually worked in the department.
I will second this. Gillen's run on Thor was really great and took a completely unexpected direction than the norm. I've always hoped we'd get an omnibus/OHC but it might be time to finally buy it in...
Just don't tell anyone you've seen us. If the old folks home gets wind we've gotten out, we're done for. It's Ambien laced pudding for the rest of our lives.
Wow. It turns out I am really out of the loop lately with Spider-man. Thanks for the response.
Did ASM by Slott reset in it's numbering again?
I know it went back to ASM #1 after Superior Spider-Man and we got two OHC volumes of that but I just saw on IST that they now have another ASM OHC...
