It's nothing like GJ's run. As a matter of fact, it has little to do with Morrison's prior work as well. It *is* somewhat weird, but not in a good way. I keep wondering if this run is somehow meant...

It's nothing like GJ's run. As a matter of fact, it has little to do with Morrison's prior work as well. It *is* somewhat weird, but not in a good way. I keep wondering if this run is somehow meant...
That was my thought as well, but it seems not. The character's name is Uno.
Sadly, the Giant Size X-Statix killed my excitement for the new series, as it's a far cry from the team's glory days....
I thought that the Return of Bruce Wayne, in particular, had spectacular bits of writing that don't necessarily jump out of at you. I'm very impressed by the "caveman" speech in #1 for instance. It's...
Both of these statements are matters of opinion. For me, the work collected in the 2nd Omnibus is among the best Morrison has done. I also prefer New X-Men to Volume 1 and felt volume 3 was something...
I hope no one got their hopes up on account of this, because it turns out Amazon was just trolling. They sent me another email saying the LSH book was back to its 2080 release date. Sorry everyone !
Amazon sent an email this morning saying this :
We now have delivery date(s) for the order you placed:
Giffen, Keith "Legion of Super-Heroes: Five Years Later Vol. 1"
Estimated arrival...
Absolutely, but you'll want to be familiar with volume 1.
Books have been known to last a lot longer than that.
Sadly, he's not good with eyes either.
I really don't get the approval this guy gets.
But then I also think his good buddy Geoff Johns is a one-note, tone-deaf hack who couldn't write his way out...
Simply put, hardcovers are larger and much sturdier, but heavier and more expensive. Art reproduction is usually identical and paper stock similar enough.
I thought the work collected in The Curse was actually much better than the GDS. If only because because the art is MUCH stronger throughout. What Giffen did with the Omen arc is mind-blowing. Levitz...
No. That would be theft.
It's the law that's supposed to punish him, not his publisher. Nor an angry mob.
Child pornography is atrocious and despicable, but so is a lynching.
Chris Burnham wrote and drew a recap. While that's a pretty good idea in and of itself, his style is a little jarring here. Still, nice to see DC thinking outside the box for once.
Picked it up today, binding is fine, no issue.
It's a well crafted story by a master technician of the form with J.H. Williams art. It might be a cash in, but it's certainly far from cheap !
While not Superman strictly speaking, Swan's long run on The Legion of Superheroes (featuring Superboy !) should start showing up in the ongoing LSH Silver Age Omnibus fairly soon.
The Wild West portion of the Return of Bruce Wayne was a full-on fill-in as well (Cameron Stewart backed out, if memory serves). It looks atrocious. A redraw would be fantastic but I'd never bet on...
Yes. Penciller Justiniano was sentenced to 10 years for possession of child pornography. It didn't prevent his work from being reprinted in the Teen Titans Omnibus, but I'm not sure about the...
Of course they can't. They can't bend the law because their writer's a scumbag. If Jones' contract calls for royalties, DC has to pay up. That being said, whatever money he might earn for past work...
Bear in mind DC sells books, not luxury wares. Artistic intent is, however faintly, in their DNA. Some books look good on glossy paper, others thrive on newsprint.
I read volume 1 and thought it was pretty bad. Johns covering Morrison's JLA with none of the ideas or imagination. I don't have a very high opinion of the man, but this is definitely among his worst...
I don't think I've ever set foot in the "French comics" Album store, but I highly doubt they carry French stuff translated in English. The "foreign comics" section certainly does not (it carries...
The last couple of book preorders I've had with Amazon.com have been very late to ship, despite being available for purchase and listed as "In stock". Am I the only one ?
This will be of absolutely no help to you but I have it on order with Amazon who've yet to send it over. But I'm very excited about it as well. I did give it a glance at my local comic book store....
Technically, volume 1 includes the first two letter columns. However, there are no actual letters, just short pieces by Robinson.
