Touché. ;)
Let’s go back to the Golden Age and start with Superbaby and Battot, and then age in real time! /s
In all seriousness, this is a touch question, and one that I doubt has a simple, catch all...
As Pinsir pointed out, Flash is Jewish (often considered distinct from white) and while Wonder Woman is Amazonian, Gal Gadot is Israeli. Thus, only really Batman and Superman are white.
I just read the synopsis for the new Justice League manga, and one comment in it made me think. Does the Joker and Lex Luthor teaming up really make sense? I mean, I know why DC pushes that villain...
I just came back from seeing Shazam, and I loved it. Levi did a wonderful job in his role, and the movie was so full of charm and charisma.
I believe what did this was Sandberg fixed everything...
I’m going to go with the new team, as they actually feel distinct from each other, whereas the original Lt.s fealt like copies of each other with one tweaked quirk.
Honestly, though, I would like...
I agree. If Billy’s Shazam and Freddy’s King Shazam, the others will need codenames.
That is a rather cynical way of seeing things.
Great minds think alike, I guess. ;) Nice details, by the way.
Another great coupling idea.
Honestly, those sorts of things happen a lot in comic books. Just look at Damian’s intro.
I’d be interested in any Nightwing kid. Personally, I’m a Dick/Barbara shipper, so maybe have boy who’s got his mom’s tech smarts and his dad’s gymnastics skills. On the other hand, I also like Mar’i...
I think the show translated him best by making him a geriatric obsessed with his youth.
We need to differentiate “good” from “I enjoyed”. For instance, I enjoyed the heck out of Batman Forever, but I can accept it was a qualitatively bad movie.
I just realized this argument is over whether or not comics should progress like manga.
Controversial opinion: comic fans will never agree on anything. Ever.
Agreed on the John Stewart front, though I’d also like Kyle. Maybe make it a team series?
Why stop at a tiger?
...
I’d agree with the sentiment, but DC (and Marvel) aren’t in the industry to tell quality stories. They’re in it to make money. While innovation has a chance of making higher money, it also carries...
Agreed. Really, only intense fans are interested in newer characters. Very often, more casual fans prefer known characters and ignore newer ones. Most everyone I know in real life only know icons and...
The way you phrased it makes it look like you think he’s a fake.
...not that I disagree. I happen to remember this happening before in Spider-Man. Twice. Time number 1 was robots, time number 2...
It’s a nice idea, but people get attached to characters. What happen when, following your logic, when Dick’s group age out and now it’s Damien’s generation’s turn, and now Dick’s fans don’t want to...
I agree. I like Batman, but he’s overrated.
The Latino boy is Pedro, not Carlos.
I’m game to see where this goes.
I’m really excited about this issue. It sounds great! I’m just going to wait for the trade, it’ll be cheaper in the long run. Unless they do something really awful, this’ll be a definite buy.
It’s too early to say for sure, but the fact that Billy was engaged in his class in those pages seems to suggest that his attitude has massively improved.
