Mystery Theater was great series! Read it all.
I've tried them all so far, my rankings:
1. The Terrifics (Awesome book so far, except the 4th issue was a bit meh)
2. Damage (This has really been growing on me, the last couple of issues)
3....
Sgt. Rock by Ennis, yes please! At least Ennis has a new World of Tanks mini starting up in a month based on the battle of Kursk. I enjoyed the earlier series that was set in Normandy. And of course...
Well if the BC articles are true, this might be the nail in the coffin for collecting modern comics for me. I'll keep a few titles here and there mostly indies. But on the bright side more money for...
Oh man now I feel old...I was 20.
Hopefully Bendis will knock it out of the park, I've only ready some of his Avengers and Daredevil runs, both have been pretty good so far.
But I am a bit sad...
Well I'm glad to see YA still around, but not really happy with the start back at issue #1. I think I will use it as an opportunity to trade wait these...except maybe Doom Patrol.
Top Current: Deathstroke and The Wildstorm
Past Great Runs: Johns Green Lantern, Morrison Batman and JLA, Ellis Stormwatch/Authority/Planetary, Batman Strange Apparitions/Hugo Strange/Year One/No...
I've dropped a few but still getting the majority that I started with.
Dropped:
Super Sons: Fun book, but just felt like it was nothing I was going to care about in a year or so. Though I might...
Williams's Manhunter was a really good series, though it did get a little choppy in the end. But I chalked that up to the series ending and Williams had to quickly wrap things up. I really have liked...
Death of Superman for me. Although I did enjoy Super Friends and the Superman Movies as a kid, it was Death of Superman and the triangle era that made me a Supes fan.
For non DC books:
Image
Black Magick
Walking Dead
Outcast
Black Monday Murders
The Fix
Southern Bastards
Manifest Destiny
Both series have been really good. But I voted for RHATO because it has been just a bit better overall. Seems like the Scott Lobdell of GenX has replaced the Scott Lobdell of Nu52 Red Hood.
Jack Knight for me...loved (and still one of my favs) Robinson's Starman series. Though technically it was Ted Knight from the Last Days of the JSA special. But at that time I was more of Marvel guy,...
Well this is good news for sure. I think Hitch had some good ideas, but he really needed somebody to help him script. I quit reading around issue 18 but I am still buying...the curse of being a run...
My Top 5 Rebirth Titles:
1. Deathstroke
2. Batman
3. Superman
4. Wonder Woman
5. Flash
Rounding out my top 10: RHato, Action, GL, Hal Jordan, Nightwing
Sadly no JL title to be...
Yeah I was disappointed with the cancellation of the Man of Tomorrow vol1. I was looking forward to sitting down and reading everything from Man of Steel to the end of Jurgens Superman run. I've...
I started with .60 comics, though they went to .75 shortly thereafter. As for the price change, I'also drop a couple that were on the edge for me anyway such as Hellblazer, Blue Beetle, and maybe...
Deathstroke! It is also top 5 overall for me.
Also enjoying Superwoman, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Red Hood, Hal Jordan and New Superman.
Deathstroke is my #1. Priest is knocking it out the park. As a plus it is great to see Hama on the art team.
The rest of my top 10:
2. Superman
3. Flash
4. Detective
5. Batman
6. Hal Jordan...
I'm still okay with the double shipping, I just dropped all my Marvel titles and dropped a few other miscellaneous series to cover the expense.
I've been enjoying Rebirth Flash quite a bit. Best Flash story in a while. The art is the only thing that falls a bit flat for me.
Only 3!?
There are so many good ones, but if I had to go with a top 3:
1. Thomas -All Star Comics revival, All Star Squadron, Infinity Inc, Last Days of the JSA
2. Morrison -Animal Man, Doom...
For Sure
SUPERGIRL #1
TRINITY #1
ACTION COMICS #963
ACTION COMICS #964
ALL-STAR BATMAN #2
AQUAMAN #6
AQUAMAN #7
DEATHSTROKE #2
DEATHSTROKE #3
Wilson really did train wreck Earth 2. Good to hear Abnett is turning it around though.
But when the Rebirth JSA starts up, they just need to start fresh. I think Earth 2 as a title has too much...
Fellow Minnesotan shout out, don't ya know. Flash and the first two seasons of Arrow are worth watching, give them a chance.
