Yep. Seems like they've just decided to throw all of Venom and Eddie's character arcs out the window because who needs development when you can have characters stay EXACTLY THE SAME!
I still don't get why so many people hate either of those characters...
Nonetheless, I also prefer Rogue.
I'll be checking this out, but I can't really say I'm hyped. Why are they so detirmined to ignore all of the younger X-Men? Even the New Mutants can't catch a break, and they've got a movie coming up!
Generation X is by far the most diverse out of all the current X-Teams. Why do we have to have POC and LGBT kids but NOT "lame white dorks". Comics are supposed to appeal to everyone, and real life...
If they handle it right, I think Quentin's continued status as a student could prove a really strong story point. He's like Max Fischer from Rushmore, all of his grandstanding aside, the school is...
I think he's a great character with a ton of potential. He's one of the most powerful young mutants, but with an incredibly volatile personality. He wants to be treated like an adult, but is afraid...
I'm a little more optimistic about this book after that interview. Not that I'm not still frustrated that Marvel can't manage to turn out a "serious" Young X-Men book, but this does look fun, and I'm...
The texture of the "big guy with a gun"'s hair makes me think Bishop, but it could still be Cable. I'd personally prefer Bishop, though. Either way, I can't say I'm happy with this tease. They can...
I really enjoyed this issue! I just wish, with all these Firehearts, that we would have at least got a mention of Puma. I think Walker could have a lot of fun with him.
This was a pretty good issue, the crazy cosmic entity stuff remains the highlight of the series. I would have liked to see more of the incident with the Shaper's Ghost, though, instead of just...
If I were going to write a book about the school, I'd definitely use Trevor/Eye-Boy. With his powerset he has a ton of potential to be a really cool character.
As for Jean, I wish this book the...
As a film student who'd also love to dabble in a bit of comic book writing one day, I tend to think a lot about ideas like this. Over on comicbookmovie, I composed a line-wide "Marvel-Rebirth". This...
It's great to know I'm not the only one who sees Eye-Boy's potential. With his powerset, he could be an incredibly badass fighter.
I'm pretty underwhelmed with this lineup, but I'll be giving it a...
I thought the author of the book (Seeley, right?) himself confirmed that he left due to controversy over his race?
There have been a lot of good suggestions for alternate writers (David F. Walker in particular I think would be amazing) but unfortuantely, so long as the book keeps selling and it keeps getting...
If only Marvel wasn't continuing this whole "Let's pretend Hunter doesn't exist" thing. Because I'd love to see his reaction to this nonsense.
Now that I say that, I think I just found the way to...
I remember being so excited for a new Black Panther solo from such a talented writer. I wound up quitting after three issues and the things I've heard since have only vindicated my decision....
I'm pretty hyped for the Blue Lanterns arc in GLC. Between Guy getting a highlighted role again and the return of Saint Walker, I've got a lot to be excited for there.
And yeah, that DC Icons Blue...
As a huge Blue Lantern fan, I couldn't be happier that they seem to be so key to this story!
And I really liked the new artist on this issue!
Maybe Blue Beetle will get lucky like some of the Marvel books and sell really well as a TPB. Honestly, though, I'm not too worried. It's still outselling plenty of books from Marvel that just keep...
I don't have the budget to follow this regularly, but it is looking good. I don't know three of these villains, but Lobo, Rustan, Maxwell Lord, and Eclipso are all exciting.
Great to see Jackson Hyde/Kaldur confirmed for the team. I haven't tried Teen Titans, but have heard good things. Adding Aqualad is making it very tempting to pick up.
I really hope they bring Simon back sooner than later, and bring him back as his jovial old movie star persona self rather than the morose brooder he became in recent years.
The new suit looks pretty cool, better than the old one, in my opinion. I kind of regret not sticking with this title. I made a lot of poor decisions when it came to budgeting out which ANAD books to...
