Death Metal : LoTDK
Death Metal: Guidebook
Green Lantern: Earth One
Batman
Detective Comics
Strange Adventures
Batman's Grave
I think the problem is that some of the inconsistencies are MAJOR points, not minor details. I can enjoy all of this without "knowing exactly how old Dick Grayson is, etc.". But things like 'so the...
Soooo it's delayed already? It's not included in the solicits. Am I missing something here lol.
Seriously....this is a good point. But isn't May free comic book day, when the free Generation Zero releases? So the month of May probably doesn't have anything to release but Zero. I think Gen 1...
I like this. All of this. Makes sense.May not have been the intention at that point in time...but could easily be referenced to help clear things up from where we are now.
Also, I was doing the 'bemoaning', not you lol. Wasn't trying to drag you into that.
I'm expecting a one-shot like Rebirth to start that next Crisis level event/5g.
How often do we all bemoan the big events, that we just want quality story telling to enjoy? Well here is a month with no big events and I feel like a big baby complaining lol.
This might be the most uninspiring month of solicts I can recall in a long time. Other hand, okay a break from the Perpatua/Dr.Manhattan/Apex Lex/Batman Who Laughs "universe cracking" stuff...but...
I'm pretty sure editorial told Snyder 'sure show the JSA but you don't get to reallllyyyy use them." That version of the JSA was via Hypertime where the effects of Dr.Manhattan weren't present. A...
Not a darn thing.....Five months after Doomsday Clock wrapped and the JSA are still nowhere to be found.
With the content being so dense in most issues, having 3 left should provide us ample screen time for Superman and Dr.M to face off, etc.
During the first couple of pages showing the ships all flying to Mars was a panel that simply had the word "Crisis" on a white background.
Having some connective tissue to Heroes in Crisis show up finally was a great moment. "one of his victims....do you know Wally West"; that was both sad and terrifying at the same time.
I agree with you on a lot of this. It has been paced slowly. I'm sure it will pay off in a giant way down the stretch (at least that is my expectation) so I've been willing to go with the slower...
Oh hey yea, it was Moonbow...sorry, that was a dippy question lol.
I liked it, thought it was fun. But moved only the villain side of things along. The M&M origin was far more entertaining than New-shach's origin.
I though the most important part of this issue was in the back up material. The agent that Typhoon recruited...that persons' agent number #F143-1986 "continues to be an invaluable agent. The other...
What the heck? I don't recall Gary Franks being this slow with issues. Do we think it's art related or Johns' doesn't have an ending...or delayed to coincide with some future event?
Ya know what, that is 100% I guess. What do we have to talk about? Manhattan saved Comedian, Oz has been outed, and the DCU is rotting at it's core. End of story thus far really.
Yes, I also agree with you that the first three issues was excellent. I hold the original in extremely high regard like most folks do, and I get why a lot of fans are not going to read Doomsday...
I know the Moore Watchmen was delayed and spread out over two years nearly. I think though that DC should have had at least 6 issues of Doomsday Clock in the can before releasing #1.
The DC...
It seems strange though, I couldn't find it here when issues 1 and 2 came out on time. Thanks.
I just don't see any Doomsday Clock chatter. Am I missing something? Or is there a fight club-esque rule that we don't discuss Doomsday Clock?
