Having the Night Shift turn up would work on so many levels.
I just don’t see how they wrap anything up by #8.
Still a little unconvinced the plan for a return isn’t already in motion.
Back in June!!
On a Fraction kick after rereading Hawkeye recently. Man, I want the Iron Man run as an omnibus so bad.
For me, it was probably some of the best characterisation of Tony we’ve ever seen (couple...
Huh…so Brevoort confirmed it’s wrapping up at #8, but still emphasised the “for now.” Hope the characters come back in some capacity to continue their story.
To play devils advocate then - would you recommend Coates run to someone who has never read BP before? (or maybe only read Hickmans take, for instance)
From there - they can go backwards to read...
I don’t want to see this go. Not yet. Hopefully 8 issues isn’t the end, and it makes a return. This has legs but it needs time to cook.
Just finished my reread of House of M - taking me to a straight 250. This is easily the most I’ve read for a good few years. Not sure what’s next, yet.
They need Al Ewing on this title ASAP.
I absolutely love Norths run, and I mean no disrespect to it - but I think Ewing could do Immortal Hulk level things with this team. Would coincide well with...
Both road to and aftermath of War of Kings 100%.
Millar Wolverine is one I’m surprised never got reprinted.
Kind of agree…but I must admit I loved #1 of GODS just as much as I did with Ultimate Spider-Man (minus the familiarity we have with SM.) It’s kind of nice seeing Hickman writing something with a...
Would anyone recommend Coates omnibus?
Another fun issue, as ever, but as another poster mentioned these issues are such quick reads. I’m contemplating waiting for the trades on this one.
As the title suggests, really. I’m primarily Marvel oriented (have read some DC) and wanting to expand to DC a little more. Are their “defining” stories or done-in-one books that tell a full story...
It’s kind of the point and the joke, but the Nextwave issue where most of the book is just double page splashes of fighting.
I don’t think it’s selling badly, is it?
I feel like it’ll be one of those sleeper books generate more interest the longer it goes on.
Digging it so far. I think that, after a few more issues in, this will be a really good sleeper hit.
Anyone’s thoughts on Avengers: Twilight?
Really enjoying it so far.
I really enjoyed it and actually count it as one of Mark Millars best.
Can’t say this issue was great, to be honest, but it’s no fault of Al Ewings. He did what he could to wrap everything up, I suppose.
A shame, really, as this would’ve been a nice series to cap off...
Well I feel robbed.
Thought #6 was pretty okay, but still not hooking me as I think I probably should be by now. It’s tricky, as I know Ewing is great - but this just seems a little safe so far?
They call it an event a couple times in the article
What did people this of todays issue?
Still debating trade/omnibus-waiting this one.
Sounds more like this is a tongue-in-cheek one shot, similar to the ones we got for Immortal Hulk?
