Me either. This was probably the best John Stewart story I've ever read. With that said, it was already announced that it was supposed to be a limited before the books release. But at least it seems...
I read it, it was a good issue. I would admit, I actually like the scene with Shepard and Guy. I'm curious on how the dynamic will be if/when Guy makes an official appearance with John.
This book...
Interesting. If that's the case, then it seems like DC no longer wants a POC to be in the lineup. Not allowed I guess. And no, the Martian Manhunter doesn't count.
Same here. I have no issues with it. In fact, I prefer older Hal than younger Hal.
This is indeed sad news among John Stewart fans. RIP. What a terrible year so far :(
This issue sort of remind me of Lost Army where John was stuck in a different world that's not his. And it looks like we're going to see Guy Gardner appearing, just like what happened in Lost Army....
I agree. That seems to be the case.
Nope, you're not the only one. There were some others in this thread that are critical towards John's thigh high boots lol. I'm one of them :)

Some notes on what he said:
One of the mission statements is to make John a more complex character. View him as both...

I mean, whether or not he's part of the writing team (assuming that he's not the only writer) still makes me feel comfortable with him being somewhat involved.
Oh ok cool. So it's not confirmed. Fingers crossed that he's not the official writer.
Is it really true that Tom King is going to be teh OFFICIAL writer for the Lantern series?
I sure hope not. He would be by far the WORST for the character. He's Geoff Johns 2.0 and he's probably...
Glad to see you back!
I've been enjoying this series A LOT!! I'm glad that PKJ took the ring off of John for a bit to show, WHO John really is as a character. I think that was needed. But the only...

I enjoyed reading PKJ interview. It's nice that he's listening to the fans and mentioned about his past discussion with Redjack about John Stewart.
Since John is a soldier (which is nothing wrong...
That's exactly why I've been very disappointed that PKJ is leaving. It's not only because the story is so good, but because I'm afraid that these developments are going to be erased if another writer...
I want John/Shayera, because of the JL/JLU toons lol.
Although I already know that's not gonna happen.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone.

Since it's black history month, DC had written a nice article about John Stewart's first appearance and how he's been introduced as a Marine.
I agree 100% of what the author had said in that post....
yeah that's how I see it, too. He was very stoic in the Johns' run. When Van Jensen wrote GLC, he resembled more from the JL/JLU toons imo.
When a character doesn't have much solo stories, I think it makes it more harder for a writer to developer a character. So it would most likely require heavy investing. It kinda makes me wonder...
It's nice to see that DC is still keeping Kyle Rayner relevant these days.
