You can't go wrong with "Uncanny" X-Men MMWs, but good luck finding them at a reasonable price! If you just want to read and don't care about the quality of the book, an omnibus or Epic would be...
You've nailed his style! Is that a foot or is it a head? LOL!
What he said!
There was a gem among the turds of 90s X-Men comics? Who knew?
Same here! The movie is the only Deadpool solo stuff I can stomach.
Do tell.....
I don't know about that. The first 3 volumes of Creepy and first 2 volumes of Eerie had some of the best artists, including some former EC artists.
Cancelled? That would suck! At least I got all the Vampirella issues in Archive format.
Wasn't it estimated to take well over 10 years to complete any of the original six series? And that was before they were slowed down by the addition of many more series.
The glued-bindings on the MMW hardcovers are much better quality than a trade paperback or omnibus. Most Uncanny X-Men (Hell, most MMWs) are available in sewn-binding with the exception of volume 5.
I'm sure those editions have the same remastering as the Barnes and Noble Edition trades from around that same time period.
I've as many space concerns as any avid collector. I've posted pics of my four fullsize bookshelves that are now overflowing into plastic bins in the closet. I'd gladly give up 30% of my collection...
Stan Lee's Spider-Man is still the best. I'll even admit to being a little disappointed in Stern's after having read all of Lee's--especially the Romita issues!
I'm not a big Don Heck fan and I've read more than my fair share of Silver Age Marvel. Maybe, I could persuaded otherwise with some pics of people's favorite Heck art, but I can't remember anything...
Lol! I've never seen Jeph post here.
It's up! This is the first time in days its come up for me.
EDIT: it's barely working for me at all. I can't get anything but the first page to come up.
I haven't been able to connect either? Maybe Gormuu didn't pay the Yuku bill on time? Glad you started this thread because I was going to Google this exact question! Anybody heard anything?
I thought that was self-evident, but could fill an entire thread.
I don't know...the other cover isn't great, but the DM cover is Gil Kane. Yuck!!!
Better than a Marvel Omnibus I'm sure! IDW Artist Select line rocks!
Have them sign an interior page. Those aren't glossy.
Seems like an end of an era. I've been reading the blogs of ComicBookResources.com for the last 5 years. Blogs like Tilting at Windmills and the writings of Brian Cronin and Greg Thatcher have...
I concur. As the owner of many Marvel books its obvious thst quality is job 10--not job 1. The printer(s) they use often make print errors or show no quality control.
I saw that coming when they introduced the Epic collection. They've been testing the $45 price point on a few paperback collections over the last couple years. Just wait and those will soon be...
