This comic has improved. It has some direction now. But it still feels like a K-Mart version of the WildCATS.

I feel that. There's pieces of a mystery being revealed...but the book never bothered to establish why we should like our heroes...or if they are even heroes. As noted...it assumes we like these...

With today's issue it's starting to feel more like an origin story...like when the dust settle what we end up with might be a proper Wildcats team with a mission...but I have no idea. It really is...

Maybe it's all a big setup by Grifter and around issue six we'll learn all of these seemingly random developments were a part of the master plan...

This issue's got a decent enough cliffhanger, but it still feels like a book of largely disconnected antics. There just isn't much identity.

Ellis established a very solid foundation with The Wildstorm. Even if DC found him too toxic to keep onboard, they could have easily continued with other writers.

Thanks! So a bit different from his Wildstorm origin...where he was a part of a blacks ops squad that was betrayed and experimented on. Curious to see what continues to be revealed.
