Does anyone know why that new Wolverine book is so damn expensive compared to other OHCs?
Oh I know this feeling all too well. Most of my hobbies are centered around the nostalgic feelings. I jumped into collecting Transformers (for the second time in adulthood) and G.I. Joe figures...
Thanks! I'll just stick to those, then (even though I did love the House of X/Powers of X OHC).
The Hellfire event is also collected in the Reign of X books, right?
Agreed, one of my favorite Wolverine covers. Really enjoyed the storyline, too.
Horrible story, too.
Oh man, always loved that Jim Lee cover - and the story as well. I was really into Omega Red as a kid.
Yeah I'm missing most of Fraction and Brubaker's runs myself. I would prefer tpb editions to omnis though.
Read The Messiah Complex for the first time. And wow, what a crossover! A crossover done exactly right; it felt like one, continuous story with the same characters, the same tone, same color palette...
Indeed, FOMO is a big part of why my collection is around 80-90 % of unread material.
Well, given their pre-order guarantee, I'd say they very much should honor the price. Otherwise, what would that guarantee be worth?
Status on amazon.de (where I placed an order myself) is that...
An interesting new Epic line "announced" by amazon.de:
https://www.amazon.de/-/en/dp/1302945912/ref=sr_1_163?dchild=1&keywords=Epic+Collection&qid=1633363876&sr=8-163
I understand that omnis are in high demand, but I wish they'd give us TPB people some more collections as well.
Morrison's style and tone was really refreshing after many years' worth of lackluster X-Men, but some of his story arcs and choices were outright terrible. But you'll see, once you get further in...
There's still finite ressources at the printing companies used. If a given printing company have room to print 10 books per month (and arbitrary number, I have no idea what the real number would be)...
They did the same on the American and Canadian Amazons about a week ago. Crazy that they don't learn from their mistakes.
This pretty much sums up my feelings on that series as well. Worst X-related series I've read.
Impressive read-a-ton!
Though I kinda feel sorry for you, if you really stop with X-Men right when it's about to get good again - after having gone through all that late 90's drivel...
I...
The way I remember Original Sin, the actual event itself is completely irrelevant - but the Thor tie-in is important.
I quite like it. Michilinie's Spider-Man is what I grew up with, and I enjoyed most of his stories and general tone for Spider-Man. It's not completely void of sillynes, but it's good. And...
That Spider-Man Lifetheft cover is so much better than the variation they first announced.
I agree with this, it should be fine. I, for one, look forward to (hopefully) being able to get those stories in TPBs without having ALL the auxillery titles vowen in, as I really feel the quality of...
That's how she came back? Well I'll be damned.
This is my big issue with it as well. They may be replacing the dead characters with exact duplicates, but it's not them. The originals are dead. Dead and gone.
Ans how come they've survived...
From what I had the pleasure to read from that run, I'll say that it was heaps better than his first run.
