So far, I think this series is great. It doesn't feel like Vertigo. I find it helps to re-read issues 1 and 2 to bring you up to speed. Enough big surprises happen per issue to keep me intrigued.
I buy Golden Age bags and store about 10 books to the bag.
Batman should be in the show as the central character. I'd like to see it as the middle of his career. I wouldn't mind some soap-opera stuff with Catwoman. I'd prefer no bat-kids. No Robins either...
Green Lantern Archives #4 1963-64. Gardner Fox, John Broome and Gil Kane.
How about visiting the Social Security office, just like a regular human?
I always hope for the best, and am often disappointed.
I went with Doctor Fate, but I love them all!
I learned about the original JSA in a 80-page Giant in the late 60's. That and "All in Color for a Dime" made me want to read the original stories. So, I voted for the Golden Age even though it was...
Oh, I didn't realize it was another limited run. I understand James Gunn likes the JSA, so I'm hoping for the best.
I think we need a variety of female personalities in comics. We don't need just one stereotype. Let's have more weak, strong, funny, dull, brilliant, not-so-brilliant and interesting female...
I am very happy that JSA and Shazam are back on the schedule. I don't know how they'll sell, but they make this old fan happy!
And a lot of us older fans were very excited. DC Comics was also reprinting a lot of Golden Age stories at this time. We all had very high hopes.
Yes. I am a Fawcett fan. I think it was great that Fawcett kept Whiz and Billy (Batson) in their publishing.
Just call him Captain Billy Whiz Bang! Fans of "The Music Man" will get the reference!
Oh good! It wouldn't surprise me that Stan Lee said it! :)
Aunt May should stay alive as long as Marvel Comics exist. Maybe she has a X-Gene. I hear Krakoa is nice this time of year.
This is a universe where the 100 year old (give or take) Aunt May comes back from the dead. I have no problem with Gwen's death being a bad dream...:D
I like Romita Jr. I think he's doing a good job on Spider-Man.
That's exactly what I think as well.
I think the name used should still be "Captain Marvel" within the comic. The front cover title could include "Shazam," "Whiz" or "Marvel Family" featuring the Original Capt. Marvel."
Yes. I agree with you. I'm sure it's more expensive with the various special effects. It has been a show that feels more like a DC comic, with lots of JSA references and characters. I would hope that...
I love the Stargirl show, but I will be surprised if it gets a fourth season on CW.
I hope so. I think Jen Psaki is excellent. Chuck Todd is all over the place.
Yes. I missed some of the campiness from the 1966-68 show. I was watching it the whole time it was on. It was a fun version of these characters. I loved their version of Penguin and Riddler...
