Same, Absolute Swamp Thing Vol. 2, just ordered from amazon.ca and it arrived without shrink wrap, without the white box. It was inside a vaccum sealed plastic bag. No damage so I'm not sending it...
So with 30 issues per book absolute fables will take 5 volumes to cover the 150 issue series, pus a 6th volume containing 1001 nights of snowfall and werewolves of the heartland.
Your books are naked! How indecent...
probably.. I doubt it will be super glossy.
I would also like to know the answer to this.
Yeah I'm getting it. the omnibus version might not happen for another half decade for all we know, and I can't put off reading this run any longer. I would prefer 2 absolutes to 3 though
100% story matters more to me. comics are first and foremost a means of storytelling, with the art there to help tell the story.
none... Amazon is your best bet, or maybe Chapters/Indigo.
PM sent.

There are pics on Neal's website in the store section.
Edit: no interior shots though
Without taking price into consideration the absolute edition is the superior version. Absolutes are DC's top of the line production. Compared to the omnibus it has the largest page size, thicker...
The problem I see with a cosmic marvel box set is that there are still more stories to tell in the cosmos, It's not like they're done making them. Your box set might quickly become "incomplete" as...
The paper quality in your book is the same as in everyone else's.
I wouldn't worry too much about minor creases in the pages, unfortunately those can be pretty common in DC books. Just enjoy the...
Yeah, I've decided to sell off a lot of the lower quality books in my collection, along with some of the White Whales that I own but am just not attached to.
While Tim Sale's illustrations in Haunted Knight are much better than anything he did in Long Halloween or dark victory, Loeb's writing is absolutely terrible.
Apparently the most recent Fables deluxe is sewn, so there is hope.
Gotham Central Omnibus!!!
Kingdom come deluxe is a welcome addition, but I think I'll hold out for an affordable copy of the absolute. Alex Ross' art deserves it.
And another Grant Morrison...
Because it out of print.
As for why DC won't reprint it - I suspect that sooner or later they will release an oversized HC, and that's why they've let the premiere HCs fall out of print.
according to goodreads.com I have 80 books that I have not yet begun to read, and a further 15 or so books that I've only read a few issues from. I have a problem.
The quality of abs. DKR is consistent with all my other absolutes. I am very pleased with it. One thing to be aware of is that some copies (the first printing I believe) were misprinted with upside...
Say I can only afford one book each month but there are two books being released this month that I want to buy: one from marvel, and one from image/DH. Do I:
a) buy the marvel book this month and...
It's not uncommon for vol. 1s to have a ton of bonus material (i.e - court of owls, Justice league origin). Don't expect it to last.
Too many issues for a single omni. I'm hoping for a set of deluxe editions.
Btw it's funny how the three-eyed smiley on absolute transmet. mirrors the one one absolute watchmen.
Solo: the deluxe edition, DC universe by Alan Moore (all stand alone stories, mostly 10 pg. backups). Neither are phone book style collections though.
