Not authentic! Jean should've passed out halfway through :p
Cheetah (Barbara) shows up briefly in a group shot with the heroes:

Because they already have a tank (Rogue) and a telepath (Jean). Adding two more would be redundant. And Bishop is definitely no odder than Jubilee or Gambit.
Again, why? The original show adapted both old and contemporary stories, why should its sequel be restricted to one era? "97" is just a title and the only thing it indicates is that it's continuing...
Why? The original series had maybe about a dozen 90's stories. The rest was Claremont's stuff. And it's not like they're skipping the 90's, the season finale is adapting OZT.
They ruined it so...
The YJ characters can't be late 20s. If we're going with the Post-Crisis timeline, they should be early 20s. Tim was 17 when 10 year-old Damian was introduced. He's 15 now, so Tim should be 22.
That's when he got older. He used to be closer in age to the YJ characters, until they got stuck as teens.
That's exactly why I sound like that. I'm trying to think like the Hollywood people :p
They're not going to ignore the most popular X-Man for their MCU debut, let alone swap him for Thunderbird.
It's less about age and more about the fact they've never interacted before. I like the idea of gay superheroes hanging out with each other, but it's almost never shown outside of the Pride issues,...
Thunderbird is unlikely to appear. His powers are unimpressive, and his personality is too similar to Wolverine's.
I don’t have a specific roster in mind, but if Wonder Woman is on the team, then I want Si Spurrier or Brian Buccellato to write it.
This is such a random group of characters. Bunker is in Tim's generation, and the Ray is like a decade older than them.
This is the second gay X-Men wedding and it's just as forced as the first one, if not more so. I'm glad it's not Betsy/Rachel at least :p
As far as video games go, they really need to get some actual comic book writers (or 97 writers) to write the story for them. The Arkham games went off the rails once Paul Dini left.
The X-Men are definitely not as bad as Titans, probably because they actually have some great (or at least impactful) runs post-Claremont. But it seems the Titans are forever doomed to live in the...
It's hilarious that they released it so close to another X-Men 97 episode. The difference of animation and storytelling quality is just embarrassing
It's funny, DeMayo said Theo James is voicing a fan favorite character. Does Bastion have many fans? :p
Plot twist! This Wonder Woman was actually Donna all along! Or the writers never read a WW comic in their lives.
Not sure how you came to this conclusion, since he obviously pro-clay origin and hadn't used anything from Azarello's run.
They outright say it's a demon. Forge exorcizes him with a magic spell.
They literally just did magic with Storm's episode...
Yeah, can't wait...
It really bothers me, especially with how good of a job X-Men 97 does with its female heroes and villains, but THE female superhero is still treated like fodder.
So business as usual for animated WW content. All that's missing is a lame version of Cheetah, but we'll probably get that in the next part :p
