I think it's pretty clear that Betsy is the one who's bi. While they used that as an explanation for her feelings for Scott in the 90's, at that point it had already been decades (well, a few years...
I agree. The poly going nowhere and sort of disappearing imo feels like they chickened out. It's probably a mix of it naturally fading after Hickman left, and Marvel probably worrying that it's too...
That's okay! lol.[/QUOTE]
I probably overreacted a bit and didn't need to have made a whole thing out of it, so sorry about that. I mean, not in the sense that I take it all back cause I feel how...
If that ends up being the case, I'm glad that Jean will be actually showing up from the beginning rather than being mostly replaced by Maddie. Kinda annoying that Maddie gets the hair down while...
Right, I get it. I think that if the writer didn't lean into the Leah Williams' characterization or the ones before, but followed up more on what's going on with Duggan's Lorna, it could work. But...
I think the thing with this topic, personally, is that the times where Jean was essentially denied the Phoenix were very frustrating, both from a meta perspective (from being annoyed at the writers)...
Because it isn't a Jean comic... Or did you mean to say that in a sarcastic tone? I can't tell lol.
Would y'all be ok with X-Factor if there was no Havok + she was the leader (not one or the other, both)?
I think this would work well for adaptations, but not really the main continuity.
It's ok to interpret things from an in-story perspective, but a lot of the time people are talking from a meta perspective, or a mix of meta and in-story, and so to keep "correcting" them feels out...
I'm assuming the writer is the one mentioned in the leaked, but I'm curious about the artist. I wonder if they're the ones who designed the new costume, and if it's really what she's gonna wear in it.
Whether it's "twisting things" or not isn't the point. Sorry if that's not the right term or if you found it rude, but the part you didn't quote in my comment is true.
Maybe they changed the concept from a Mystique solo to a Mystique-led X-Force?
Well I'm a bit disappointed that Jean isn't in any of the new teams, but that pretty much confirms that the Phoenix books is really her solo. And Brevoort apparently mentioned these solos as "entry...
Mercury, I usually appreciate your enthusiasm and positivity, but let's be real, you have a habit of twisting things to fit your narrative. I kinda get it, because I like Jean as Phoenix too and want...
Link isn't working anymore...
How did this conversation start and how it is still going. We don't even see any heels in the damn cover.
I love this!!! Always wanted to have a version of the Phoenix costume with her headpiece/cowl. The only thing I'd change is adding the Phoenix symbol on her forehead (or making it gold).
I wonder...
Yeah but Immortal X-Men and the Jean solo has been dealing with the Phoenix with both Jean and Hope involved... With Hope using the Phoenix by mimicing Jean, and she's lowkey Gillen's pet character....
I think that's debatable. It's not rare for characters to have different ages in alternate universes or timeline. So she could have a baby now and it could be Rachel, or not be Rachel, probably...
Who? Hope?
Is this meant to be part of the leak or a theory from you (or whoever sent it)?
From the way Mother Righteous talks about her and the Phoenix and how what happens to her affects the WHR itself, I think she's already "merged" with the Phoenix ever since the end of her mini...
Yeah, because Orchis and X-Men villains build murder bots or whatever just for fun. Nothing to do with their ideologies about whether certain people should exist or be represented. Not like they try...
