David Tischman and Igor Kordey did good work with Cable, though I didn't think so particularly at the time, even wrote in a strongly worded letter about the title sounding like a low budget action...

At his best, Cable. Hell, even when he's on the ropes he's a beast (near death see what he did to the Avengers in X-Sanction). Knows a lot of different fighting styles. I'd definitely go with Cable...

Who else thinks Reacher's Alan Ritchson could pull off a good Cable - he's def got the look.

Well, Cable did spend a period of time as a Traveler (can't recall the specifics) where he carried a sword on his back. He also has one in Cable -1. He likes swords.

Does no one else care that it won't be Cable when he is grown, but an alt version of him... it is a really big issue. Essentially a reset button. This is what makes me sad. Such an interesting...
