''Having seen friends and family die, and knowing these are the end days, Thor reaches deep into himself for a strenght never fully realized before!''
Okay, let's start by saying that Thanos' continuity in the 616 marvel universe is a pretty weird subject.
From the seventies to the early nineties Thanos was mostly a consistent character wrote...
So what you are saying is Fraction and Aaron were trying to capture the mythological Thor by turning Marvel Thor into a thuggish boor with a potty mouth?
If that happens, Thor will be dead for good in the comics
John was awesome in the DCAU but i still like Hal and Kyle better.
I have no fate in any appearance of MCU Thor if they keep writing him as a slapstick buffoon. And you can bet Jane is gonna be smarter and more talented than Thor despite having none of the...
Pretty much the reason why i don't have much interest in MCU Thor.
I wish Hercuthor was written more like this.

If this doesn't make you understand why Aaron hasn't done Thor character justice after God Butcher i don't know what will....
Aaron turned Thor into a mead swaggering buffoon who thinks he's nothing without Mjolnir (and the hammer got destroyed like 6 times in Thor's history). Odin into a alcoholic redneck caricature and...
I'm still bitter about them using Aaron's run.
Milions of people if not bilions will see Jane as the best ''Thor'' ever and the real Thor just a slapstick stooge.
I agree. His sacrifice against Surtur in Jurgens run was epic and moving. Matt Fraction then brought him back just to assasinate the character.
I wonder how Waititi is gonna Butcher the God Butcher.
He's either going to be a screaming goth tinged stick in the mud like MCU Ronan or a dull goth tinged generic doomsday villain like Malekith.
Back when people at Marvel knew how the Odinforce works.

Like i said, the best Thanos (and Adam Warlock) stories it's not blowing stuff up and being edgy, but they are about introspection.
After Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos was no longer a pseudo-nihilist...
Kinda like how everyone tries to make their version of Infinity Gauntlet without getting Thanos nuances and character development.
You just reminded me of Ronan the Accuser being killed off and replaced by Tanalith, aka Rule 63 Ronan.
Why do you hate Thanos?
Even at DC if you are a cosmic themed comic, everyone will ignore you, except for Green Lantern.
Sadly after Jack Kirby, only Paul Levitz, Simonson and Grant Morrison remembered that Darkseid is supposed to be a cunning and insidious god of totalitarianism that shouldn't be defeated physically...
This was made to make fun of John Byrne's work on Spider-Man but can be easily applied to Jason Aaron and his take on Thor and cosmic characters.

Ugh. Damn it Aaron and your continuity rape. Thanos never really cared about being a ''conqueror''. Read his speech to Mistress Death in Captain Marvel #31 (1974).
I think the character peaked...
I'm dreading the possibility of Thanos being used as a one-shot jobber villain to put Ikaris over in the second issue of the new Eternals comic, like how he was used by Bendis in Civil War II and...
Journey to hell of course.
I think Tegan O'Neil with Cosmic wasn't referring to space opera stories but to a particular type of surreal (or trippy) stories where the main character interacts with abstract and metaphorical...
