Agreed, but Rogol was NOT that in issue 1. He accused the Kryptonians of economic crimes against others, for example. Hitler and anti-semites also accused the Jews of bad acts.

Yeah, what's been unsaid so far about Kryptonians = Jews and Rogol = Hitler is that if Bendis is really going there, it has a chance to be a bad story. I'd consider it to be an uphill battle for me...
This is a criticism of Jews by anti-semites, though. See this article from Haaretz.
Excerpt:
Indeed, like the word “cosmopolitan,” the term “globalist” echoes the ideology of Adolf Hitler, who...
do you guys think Bendis was making a comparison between Rogol and Hitler? With the Kryptonians being Jews (greedy, "globalist" capitalists)?
this was the first issue i liked of this story. it's simple but interesting and i want to know bruce's decision.
could it be possible Snyder read Morrison's run but didn't understand this? a lot of people say Morrison is confusing...
who cares? rape by deception is only bad if a guy does it to a girl.
RHATO but these are the two best Bat books going. A good choice either way.
Nice post. Another example of doing things right is Kong Kenan over in New Super-man.
hopefully the writer can finish his story... that's all we can ask... feels like there's a lot to the Dr. Omen story...
boring.
want diversity that catches on? create villains of color (VOC)
and IF you must go superhero route, add some flaws (other than boringness).
pretty much. Tom King is a good writer and a horrible Batman writer.
enjoyed this. just wondering, though, did New 52 / Rebirth erase what Doctor Light did to Sue Dibny and others?
i thought this was a bit better executed than the last issue and did like when Clark found the remains. still, let's get back to normal after this.
standards are subjective, and we're talking about a couple of (subjectively) all-time greats in the writer and artist.
i suppose the reply is that miller used to be great and not anymore, but imo,...
this stunk. never do something so boring again, Tomasi
meh, this stuff is more subjective than you're making it out to be. a significant number of people like his Batman, even his later stuff.
i agree. i mean, i'm sure there would be enough sales to justify it. so, let the people who want it buy it. and the people who want to pass can pass.
i would like to see it attempted. maybe it'd work for some, not for others, but let's see him try.
this will be judged by whether it's as good as DC One Million. (although DC's series was in the other direction timewise obvs)
it was a bit harsher than that, imo. more like "i was relieved you weren't pregnant because i thought you'd be a bad mother"
truth be told, that's not too complicated.
simple venn diagram, really
there are some bit-sized episodes called Spotlight you can dip your toe in.
as always, a lot of this comes down to whether your tastes match what the hosts are saying. for example, i don't like...
i thought Born was his origin story.
the correct answer to this is: love Injustice but it's an elseworlds hero vs hero story, so no, he's not the best. but he deserves a try at Justice League proper.
