Donn Pearce wrote the novel Cool Hand Luke. It's a fine piece of literature. But the film is a classic, and I have to say Paul Newman's performance alone elevates the movie above the book.

As I said, give Conner a new codename and solo series and have him do his own thing. Have him visit Oliver's world on the Green Arrow title on occasion. Like Nightwing shows up on Batman's title.
