Tired of gimmicks by companies like DC & Marvel with starting their titles over with a new number 1 every few years. I'm done with buying new comics from DC if they proceed with this relaunch, new...
Right now I'm planning on buying Spider-Gwen and Carnage on a regular basis. I'll probably buy the first couple of issues of Spider-Man/Deadpool and Web Warriors to see how I like it. I'll probably...
Thanks, they signed several different spider Gwen #1 variants for me while I was talking with them. One of them wasn't a variant but they signed it anyways. They were really some cool people to meet...
Really enjoyed the first issue. After meeting and talking with Cliff Chiang & Jared K Fletcher today I'm even more excited to read the second issue. The enthusiasm they have for working on this book...
Really enjoyed this issue, especially after being at the release party at Heroes Aren't Hard To Find in Charlotte, North Carolina today and meeting a couple of guys that worked on the comic named...
Only going to be buying the Star Wars titles and Spider Gwen on a regular basis. Might pick up a few random issues of other books here and there that I feel may be key issues in the future for...
Really enjoyed the entire mini-series and would have to give it a 10 out of 10!!!!! Without a doubt one of the best storylines that I've read from Marvel in a long time. IMO Marvel should give this...
IDW did a great job with this issue IMO. The story and art were well done and they managed to capture that classic feel of the older Walt Disney comics.
That's nice!! I need one like that to go with my EOSV #2 and first app of Gwen Stacy in ASM #31
I think that Spider Gwen has staying power based on the fact that the only reason her series exists is because she was so popular in EOSV #2 that comic fans like us generated enough interest in her...
While I agree with you that maybe in the future the demands for variants might decrease and cause some of them to drop in value I don't think that it will affect the more limited ones or key issues...
While my favorite version of Gwen Stacy is Spider Gwen I also enjoyed her back when she was first introduced in Amazing Spider-Man #31. Attached is both of their first appearances from my collection
Looks like it's going to be a good second issue. I'll definately be collecting this series.
I thought that both #1's were well written but my vote would have to go to Spider Gwen #1.
Judging from the way both issues seem to be selling at the comic shops in the Tri-City area where I live...
Normally I would agree with you but I think that with the popularity of Gwen Stacy in the last two Spider-Man movies and the popularity of her character as Spider Gwen that Marvel/Disney could pull...
Was in one of the comic shops in my area today and they had sold out of Spider Gwen #1. Called the 2 other comic shops in my area and both of them had sold out also which actually surprised me. I...
Neither one really intrests me in a new Spider-Man movie. I think that now would be a good time to give Spider Gwen her own movie and then follow that up with a cartoon series.
Having Matt Murdock as a villian and working for the Kingpin was a nice twist. I'm looking forward to seeing what other differences there are in this series because IMO it makes for fresh take on the...
I liked it. It reminded me of the early Amazing Spider-Man stories from the 60's.
Earlier today I heard the owner of a comic shop talk about all of the potential this series has on his "Unboxing...
Here's some pictures of the direct edition of the same comic from my LCS. You can see the price variant and the difference in the UPC.
One more picture of the newsstand edition comic from Books-A-Million.
Here's some pictures comparing a direct edition from my LCS to a newsstand edition from Books-A-Million
I'm afraid that you may be right in that eventually newsstand editions will cease to be sold but I don't ever see printed editions vanishing completly.
The comics that Barnes & Noble and...
When I first started collecting comics in the 80's you could buy comics at every place from your local supermarket, drug store or convenience store to Wal Mart as well as your local comic shop. Now...
An all female band also made a live version of the song that Gwens band sings in the comic and put it on YouTube.
