Or shoulder pads, massive guns or swords...
In addition to my usual (in my sig), I will be trying out a few new titles:
Omega Men #3
Constantine the Hellblazer #3
Cyborg #2
JLA #3
Take a look through this thread on the Batman forum: http://community.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?7015-Batman-Comics-FAQ-Best-for-New-Readers-Current-Titles-Top-Trades-amp-Recent-Events
Given you're mainly interested in the Bat-verse characters, you may want to ask this question in the Batman forum. 2 story arcs in particular are focused on the Joker, 'Death of the Family' and...
Off the top of my head, I can think of:
Best:
Justice League (as a team, far superior to the former JLA title)
Cyborg
Aquaman
WW
Superman (I know many may disagree, but for me, far superior...
It would help if you could be a bit more specific as to what characters or aspects of the DCU you're interested in.
Sales wise, particularly in the early days, absolutely.
I've never been a continuity buff, so that was never an issue for me. I'm more concerned with quality stories, and from that respect, I...
Overall I think the quality is much the same. My favourate recent release was the Flashpoint adaption.
I will be keeping my current titles (in sig) and I will probably try out:
Justice League of America
Constantine: The Hellblazer
Green Arrow
And maybe:
Omega Men
Currently:
Action Comics
Batman
Green Lantern
Justice League
Superman
The Multiversity
Post-convergence:
I might check out Cyborg, JLA, Bizarro, Constantine the Hellblazer, Omega...
Godhead was for the most part, awesome. There were a couple of issues i thought were weak (can't recall exactly which ones), but overall I really liked it.
Throne of Atlantis was still the best...
In the recent Godhead crossover, Mogo's ring was just hanging out on a tree branch if I recall correctly! Orion just flew by and snatched it up...
Batman
Superman
Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)
The Flash
Sinestro
Lex Luthor
Joker
Captain Marvel/Shazam
There are so many I could list here...but that will do!
Great story. Glad we finally got the conclusion. This would probably have been better if it was released as OGN though as the delays killed the momentum.
I only read Batman and to be honest I don't find that I need to know anything else. Its rarely seems relevant.
If I do, I just come on here and check out a few review threads and catch up that way.
Yes, you missed a fantastic story
Synder's Batman
Morrison and Pak's Action Comics
John's Green Lantern, Aquaman and Justice League
Is there a more divisive costume than Superman's Nu52 costume??
Personally, I like it, but geez it gets people fired up...
Just my usual books, but geez I'm looking forward to the Multiversity guidebook :)
Only DC now.
I used to buy Thor: God of Thunder from Marvel, but stopped when did their latest relaunch with lady Thor.
Green Lantern didn't end at all, the storyline literally continued on in the New52. It ended in a more meaningful sense when Johns finished his run in issue #20.
No, the main Earth with the "normal" Justice League is Earth Prime or Earth 0 - its been referred to as both
This is a tough one to answer....yes and no.
You can understand it (bearing in mind its Morrison, so it can be confusing no matter how much background you have) without any prior knowledge as it...
I agree with the comments re interesting concepts, poor execution. I have basically enjoyed the storyline, but it has gone on way too long!
When I think what this story was about - Superman...
