If you say so.
Thanks for starting this conversation, OP. I love Forge but I didn't dare start a thread about him, as I know he gets quite a lot of hate.
I also think he was a very promising character that has...
I liked her as a villain, and I loved her in GenX, but something changed for me when she joined the X-Men, and she's been getting on my nerves ever since.
You and me both. Oh, totally stealing "boreclops" and making it part of my vocabulary btw :D
Oh sweet merciful Goddess no. Please no. It sounds like the premise for very bad fic. And as people have said, it wouldn't solve anything anyway.
Good to know, thanks :-) I do enjoy the discussion too.
Ok, please don't hate me, but I gotta ask: am I the only Storm fan who doesn't care about the level of her powers? Not that it's not a valid conversation to have, but I see an awful lot of it and I'm...
Yes, it looks to me like it wasn't real "footage"- just a ruse from the Adversary. I'd say that at worst it's CCTV footage, as I doubt a place like the Aerie doesn't have security cameras.
...
But that's exactly the bit I was talking about, which was all orchestrated by the Adversary... Anyway. I'm not going to convince you and you're not going to convince me either, so let's move on. :)

I think you must be referring to that issue in the 80s (don't remember the issue number at the top of my head) when she goes to his house and finds a whole hologram show of herself. As I understand a...
Not stalking, no. But he's been desperate for her to acknowledge him in Extraordinary, and he should know better, especially based on their recent encounters.
Oh of course. I'm not saying he's not clingy. I'm saying he's supposed to have learned his lesson by the end of Storm #3, and definitely by the end of the Storm run. That kind of pathetic behaviour...
Yes, and they were on good terms by the end of the issue. When they met again at the end of the Storm run, Forge was very respectful, and even helped her through the final battle. But then, when they...
A million times yes.
The art, the art, the art :D
But I do agree that the dialogue is bad and that the characterization is off. Lemire makes Kurt look like an idiot.
It amuses me how people throw that word around like it's an insult ON A FAN FORUM. What, you're there defending Iron Man and you're not a fanboy/girl? Please. Take your self-hating BS somewhere else....
Well, y'all are comforting me in my decision. Thanks! :) There's only so much a Storm fan can take. Hell, I'm still not over that horrible wig from the first movie...
To me, the comic went downhill when Ellis showed up. He was the wrong writer for this title. Gen X had always been sort of chirpy, and there was no reason to change the tone so dramatically.
I still haven't seen XMA. I can't bring myself to watch Storm being belittled on screen again.
I love Ibanez' work, but I do see your point. You can tell he's not used to drawing action and movement, but he's getting there. His faces are a thing of beauty.
I feel the same. The idea of Beyonce playing the part gives me the chills, but she looks great in Storm cosplay.
Thank you. I feel like this is a much needed reminder.
I'm not calling anyone an idiot. I'm saying people might feel loyalty to the flagship (as I said, I have). People have different reasons for buying comics- the almighty (and highly subjective)...
Regardless, the point still holds. Sales don't tell you whether the book is good, or even if people enjoy it. I wonder how many people are still buying the book just because it's a flagship, or out...
