I know some people who take this whole"charlemagne never existed"thing very seriously, so I really loved to have that referenced.
Its just ( mostly) fast-paced, linear storytelling with lots of action, well defined characters, and no high-flying, abstract concepts or "weird " endings.. You always now where you are at in a...
Felt this deserved a thread.. Aftershock.. Garth Ennis, so not really suitable for minors, I guess....Highly original high-concept horror stuff.. at issue 9 right now, and its creeepy..
All My Heroes Are Junkies.
WhattheJojersays.
also , Criminal, via MY HEROES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN JUNKIES.. .. captions entirely justified.
Gideon Fall; also Stray Bullets is still going strong.Hated that banana issue, though.
Possibly that Pirate-Comic Kid? On his way to become the next Robin?
another opportunity to plug Stray bullets, yay! Its kind of like Breaking Bad with teenagers, dark crime comedy or something (only it started way before breaking bad )..I.m o. it just has the best-...
Yes, Sheltered for sure; also, Stray Bullets; so much they could do with those characters; they would just have to find a way to get their hooks in a little bit quicker than Lapham does.
Tyler Gaddis- An Hommage to William Gaddis?
I guess we will have to deal with treading water until Beth gets out of jail finally.. just love this storyline, anyway.
I seem to agree a lot with matt; have not tied green valley though; its East Of West in between; still kind of weird to vote for convoluted storylines like this issue-by issue though..

Deadly Class is just so deep in all sorts of ethnic cliches that it really rubs me the wrong way somewhat; And Remenders constant obsession with depression is really getting redundant,
Solution: The Fix.
Has anyone ever mentioned Ringside? Its actually much more Crime/ Drama than just wrestling, and rather promising so far.. there is certainly a lack of female charachters, but what do you expect..
Any alibi to mention Stray Bullets is just fine with me.. Just about the best- written characters in any ongoing series right now.. also really intrigued by Invisible Republic.
it is indeeda sequel..fun though, in a pulpy seventies way.
That should be Beths Mom.
Stray Bullets , just my favourite ongoing; although Papergirls came close (timetravellers from the 80s in 2016! now there are some great punchlines wating to be made ) Deadly Class is just everything...
The whole point of Watchmen was to exploit the latent fascist tendencies of superhero comics; just taking the tools and turning the message upside down 180 degrees is.. I dont know.. somewhat vile....
agreed!
just love how Lapham does not just sell out even his whackiest characters (Like Rose and Joey).
apparently; sorry!
