Neither Discovery or Strange New Worlds are set in an alternate reality. Feel free not to like them, but the people making the shows ultimately get to call the shots on what "counts"
I call it :
"Chewie Got Back or Han Likes Big Butts and He Cannot Lie"

Where they came from is kind of beside the point for the question at hand though isn't it?
After Gotham Central the detectives aren't seen much at all outside of stories penned by Rucka or...
...They've only released a single image...how can one form any kind of real opinion on that?
I don't get that at all, Inside Out, Coco and Soul have been stunning films.
I'd say they can be if you want to.
I think it's yet another case of, "Bad writing, don't over think it."
I'd just chalk it up to bad writing and not try to overthink it.
The general audience definitely makes up the bulk of ticket sales...that's a flat fact.
Am I the only one underwhelmed by the trailer? I mean the fight scenes looked cool and I loved how awesome Sub-Zero looked...but the plot set up seemed really lame. I mean, I'm not looking for...
I really liked seeing Pike, Spock and Una in Discovery so I'm definitely looking forward to them having their own show.
I really liked the addition of a pulp heroine to compliment the Lobster, I hope we get to learn more about her as the series unfolds.
This was a blast! Little Hellboy, dinosaurs, giant apes and a new pulp hero? What more could you ask for?
An Agatha Christie inspired comic sounds amazing, this is an instant buy for me.
The art was certainly great, though it took me a bit to get over my disappointment that it wasn't Corben.
I'd be okay with him being just out of his league but his dialogue and woe is me self deprecating jokes just make him annoying.
Fatal Hour and Seven Wives were truly great...but Effie Kolb was really lackluster, it felt more like a prologue than an actual story that stood on its own.
The characterization of Ochi is just so bad here. He was built up as this serious threat but now he's a lame comedic relief side kick.
It just didn't feel that manipulative as it felt like a done deal from the start for me, with out the suspense or mystery it lacked the fun of watching a manipulator work.
Man...that sounds like a whole lot of issues to tell what sounds like a pretty straight forward story. Why do they feel the need to stretch every plot into some 10 part epic? I mean, a zero issue to...
I don't understand getting bent by a simple statement...especially one that doesn't include any real negativity.
People like "new" things and when there are only two new things those things are...
In years past that was probably a good metric...but during covid? There's not a lot of new stuff to divert people's eyes away so what little there is will get a lot of views. Will those trailer views...
Wow, the muted pallet that Snyder seems to love made all of his scenes seem so flat and uninteresting in comparison to the warmer pallet chosen for the theatrical cut.
Eh, it's not as if there are any other trailers to watch out there.
