Good points.
So you don't like Hope because of who she was not... specifically that she wasn't Jean. Got it. That's fair. I'm glad she didn't turn out to be Jean, though. Mainly because I loved the stories of...
I love Hope Summers. And while she may not be related by blood to anyone, she is very much Cable’s daughter. As this issue showed.
A.x.e.: Judgment day #3 (of 6)
a.x.e.: Judgment day #4 (of 6)
a.x.e.: Death to the mutants #2 (of 3)
x-men red #6
immortal x-men #6
x-men #14
wolverine #24
x-force #31
x-terminators #2 (of 5)...
Agreed. Loved that focused, tactical use of his power.
Now that’s an interesting theory… that perhaps it’s a byproduct of the Resurrection Protocols? Hadn’t thought of that.
Certainly...
I didn’t hate it like so many others did. But I just find Percy’s X-Force boring most of the time. His Wolverine is great, but I wouldn’t mind someone else taking a crack at the mutant CIA honestly....
The only ones who I hope carry over are Deadpool’s supporting cast, since we already know Reynolds is coming over as Deadpool. I’d like to see Zazie Beetz and Josh Brolin continue as Domino and...
This was a fun issue with some stellar art. Percy has a great handle on both Logan and Wade, so I enjoy him writing those two a lot.
It’s actually a fairly recent development. You’re correct, in that he did not need the virus to stabilize his powers in the past, as evidenced during the two or three times where he lost the virus....
Is there anywhere besides Amazon where you can preorder it? I hate buying from them.
The Storm-Vulcan showdown was awesome. Also, after Hope’s use of Mysterium in IXM, does anyone else think it makes sense for Cable to upgrade his T-O arm to have a Mysterium outer shell? Instant...
Yeah, I thought the tattoo was pretty cool myself. A shame they’ve forgotten it.
Agreed. Would love to see Bishop reunited with Sage over in X-Force. Maybe he could replace Quire and work with Logan and Domino on the field team? Seems like they could use him.
To be fair, unless the book has Logan in it you tend to find it boring, Nick. ;)
I love it. It’s my new favorite X-book. I’m also enjoying X-men and Immortal X-men, but for me — if you’re only going to start one — X-men Red is that book.
Hey, I’ve been doing “Rift talking about Hellion” but stanning for Cable for waaay longer. Maybe I’m just more subtle about it and need to up my game… ;)
He’ll be back. Probably (hopefully) next issue. He’s on the cover of issue #5, albeit as a skeleton. Ha.
But we’ve also seen him on covers for A.X.E. too. So I’m expecting he’ll show up in that...
There was some preview art on AIPT for Al Ewing’s X-men Monday interview that showed Manifold leaned up against a tree, so I’m guessing that’s from issue #3. Which is also the issue where Thunderbird...
Where are these tantrums? I want to see them. Ha.
I thought it was clever how they made a joke out of the height thing in DP2, and now in DP3 — which is confirmed to be in the MCU — there are lots of ways they can make Brolin look physically larger....
Could be. Or maybe Storm, being more skilled and also an Omega mutant, just exploited a gap that the less skilled — but no less powerful — Vulcan wasn’t aware of. Either way, I thought it was well...
I did and thought it was cool, along with the fact that Ewing has now clarified that his virus keeps his power in check as much as his power keeps his virus in check, which I think is a cool addition...
They made it clear that A) Storm did exactly what you said in that she beat him due to her skill not her raw power level and B) she only fought “the shell” as he said, so even his raw power levels...
Sage is the only good part of this book IMO. If only Cable could add her to his X-men Red roster along with Frenzy. Maybe replacing Mentallo or Random.
It’s a game though, so not canon in the comics. And the Deadpool 2 film which introduced Cable in the films came out after that, and Reynolds and Brolin had great chemistry there. They’re the R-rated...
