Brainiac my top pick, but Manchester Black would be a good start-out villain that you could use to firmly contrast a non-edgy Superman against. Really emphasize that this is NOT Snyder's Supes.

Cavill's a big boy and can speak for himself. I'll never understand this parasocial relationship the internet has with him.
This kind of conservative "critique" is hilarious to me, considering how the original TMNT/Eastman and Laird's influences were rooted in early underground/counter-culture comics.
Won't miss him, though I recognize that he could have made a good Superman if the writing and directing had been there. Squandered potential, but I can't long for something that didn't actually exist.
"Let's blame the gays for no kid Jon anymore"
I think she's super dull. Though I've only seen season 1 of the current TV show, that actor's portrayal of Lois is perfect.
I wish they would wipe the slate clean and reboot Cavill's Superman (such a perfect choice to play Superman deserves a better characterization and origin/foster parents). Plus recast Lois so she's...
Can't stand the concept of them being close friends. I preferred their uneasy alliance from early Post-Crisis.
Okay I'm in.
Really? Consider me a Tom Taylor fan.
I hope they weren't Greg Land'd.
The best thing to happen to Superman after years of terribleness.
Or let's say Kingpin, if you buy into this whole Mongul is a racist stereotype of East Asian people nonsense and want to soothe your conscience.
Keep the name, the colors, the basic motif, but maybe change his proportions? What makes him look like the Darkseid and Thanos rip-off (let's be honest) that he is is the big square-jawed meathead...
Yo, I agree.
Post-Crisis, which comes as no surprise to me

Like clockwork he/they have. Worst Superman is complaining about pandering, as he misses the days when comics would pander to homophobes.
1) Daily Wire lol. From the people who brought us scaremongering about "cancel culture," naturally.
2) Post-Crisis Superman, at least the first several years, was awesome. Plenty of stories...
Gay or bi Jon would be rad.
Meh, I just prefer Superman having cool super adventures and fighting the super bad guy of the week, along with slice-of-life bits with Lois and the cast in between, and the occasional A Very Special...
Guess I'm in the minority, because I'd like a black Clark (as long as they have the same humble, rural background and a Pa and Ma Kent worthy of the role [as opposed to Man of Steel's]), but I don't...
Yes. Especially during 1988 to 1994 or so.
Oh come on.
I'm another person who doesn't like that Jon was aged up, nor do I like Bad Superman, and so I wasn't looking forward to this book... but that interview put me at ease. Looking forward to this run...
