Wonder where they might have gotten this idea?:)
I just seems to me, sometimes, that some people's dislike of a writer can prevent them from being objective about a story's actual, verifiable content.
As far as arguing goes, there's nothing...
There is absolutely no suggestive dialogue on Diana's part in the entire issue. The closest thing is "even without the pointy ears you don't look so bad", which is flirtatious at best, but ultimately...
I do think it would have been better if they would have said it simultaneously. It would have been kind of sitcom-y, but could have added some levity to the awkward situation of two friends almost...
King chose to put them into a story where they experienced not just physical conflict, but also emotional conflict, and one that, ultimately, showed the strength of Bruce and Selina's relationship...
But, it's you, as a reader, casting her in that ROLE. And, she does have a story. It's a shared story: Two long-time friends in a difficult situation together, and nearly giving in to mutual...
It's not an assumption when it's an opinion based on something you said/wrote. As we see in the preview, both their relationships are being tested, so I stand by my claim that you seem to be holding...
Wonder Woman is in the same situation as Bruce and facing the same circumstances, yet you view her as "temptress" because she's the woman in the situation? That's incredibly sexist of you.
The reason the Shaman collection is so expensive is because it is out of print. If you want to read it you can find the original issues (from legends of the Dark Knight) for about two or three...
But, despite being labeled "Official", handbooks aren't canon. They don't supercede anything that actually happens in the comics and are unreliable due to being filled with mistakes,...
But, those feats did happen, and were never retconned. So they do, in fact, have those abilities. Just because a character doesn't do something for several years doesn't mean it disappears from...
He, clearly, does have latent telepathic abilities, as evinced by the panels posted. Nothing has happened to wipe those occurrences from existence and there hasn't been an overt retconning of them....
I actually reread all the Gen X Cordelia appearances last night after I posted (there's only 5) and it never states what her powers are. The closest thing to a power is Emma's inability to read her...
Which issue was that stated in? I have read every issue, but I don't recall that and would like to reread it.
I agree. Maybe the thread title can be changed to a parenthetical appreciation thread so that implied courtesies apply.
Marvel never held a trademark for Orphan. Trademarks only apply to title characters/teams. Also, just because a company has a character by one name, it doesn't mean another company can't also have a...
Right after House of M, Wizard Magazine printed a list of depowered mutants. I believe Slipstream was on that list, but that list was inaccurate and, ultimately, unreliable.
You took the latter part of my post way too seriously. That said, it seemed (to me) that her story might have been meant to illustrate how capable she is, and how she became so.
Or maybe it was,...
You're right. She essentially used her hand-to-hand skills to win.
Also, I don't know where it was established that Talia is such a skilled swordfighter. In this very issue she is recounting how...
If you don't want to buy the whole run, and don't mind reading digital, it's all available for free on Hoopla, the public library digital service.
That is something that was established during Morrison's Animal Man run.
It was established during Convergence that the Pre-Crisis Earth Two, and all its inhabitants, does still exist.
Gail Simone wrote an excellent arc of BoP with her. She's another writer who is really creative with Vixen's powers. She had her use abilities like the venom spitting of a cobra, and the regeneration...
It was #28 of the 2006 series. McDuffie was really good when it came to creative uses of her powers. The latter half of his run is worth checking out if you're a Vixen fan.
She's actually done that before, in Dwayne McDuffie's run of Justice League of America. It made her strong enough to lift a tank.
