Yes, I like the idea that he doesn't need to face the struggle with the Ebony Blade alone any more. It was a nice resolution for the mental health issues they've been exploring.
Also, I realised...
Preview for issue 5 is up! https://comicbookdispatch.com/black-knight-curse-of-the-ebony-blade-5-preview/
Glad they are leaning into the mental health/depression angle - it's something that has...
Yes< i've been a huge fan of Dane's since his time in the Harras/Epting Avengers, when he was one of the main characters. This was very early in my Marvel comics reading and it was the first US...
Ah yes! Of course. I even re-read that issue recently on your recommendation, given the appearances of the Ebony artifacts. Just completely forgot about Percy letting himself be killed.
I hadn't realised she'd been revived...and TWICE at that!
Have just re-read issue 4 - following my earlier comment that we hadn't really learnt anything new about the Curse from the Chalice, I've...
Just read issue 4.
I continue to enjoy the series, though I have some issues. My main takeaways were:
1) Though still unconfirmed on the page, Jacks is definitely Dane's daughter, right? Just...
My pleasure! The May chart just came up on my Twitter feed - was going to DM you!
Comichron are doing sales charts https://www.comichron.com/monthlycomicssales.html
Looks like KiB: Black Knight and issue 1 ranked somewhere in the 30s, with issue two falling to somewhere in the...
I feel sorry for them too... not just that they keep dying, but that they are distressed at having wings.
My one criticism of Spurrier’s take so far would be making Dane indifferent to their...
A new character I believe - I don’t remember reading any reference to her before issue 1. Seems to be tied to some unreveales, formative trauma of Dane’s.
Yeah, he's definitely quite weird looking in Stardust, compared to how he looks now.
He's much beefier now, as well - which I would argue makes him quite suitable for Brian.
Cavill went Blonde in Stardust, so you can see some shots of him here:...

My understanding is these are all new characters, and that this is their introduction.
Spurrier is redefining Marvel Camelot - and I heard on a podcast interview with him that there is more to come...
Issue two currently at #21 on the Comixology.co.uk sales chart. Don't know how that will be reflected across other territories/in hard copies - but hopefully good

I did some digging, and it looks like current continuity is there ARE two Garrett Castles. One in Stroud in the UK and one in Washington DC.
The wiki I read...
Really enjoyed this week's issue.
I'm a big fan of mixing darkness and humour, and the series is definitely delivering that.
Two particular gags I enjoyed were 'I'm shattered' and the very...
I've a sneaking suspicion that Dane's status with the other heroes and his own lack of self-confidence will be resolved or at least improved by the end of this series.
Spurrier has said in...
I think he would make a perfect Brian - he has he right sort of posh Englishness.
Dermie, this post is excellent! Dane is my favourite character, and I think you've summed up his history here better than I have seen on any comic site article or even character databases!
The excellent Deadpool issue 11 (the Joe Kelly run from 1997) has Deadpool go back in time to the 1960s and end up taking Spider-Man's place in a Lee/Romita issue of ASM.
War of Realms 3 (out today) featured some UK-based MArvel adventures! Just a couple of pages, but worth checking out.
Another vote from me for the Kelly Deadpool run, and the Harras/Epting Avengers. The latter went off the boil after Epting left in #375, but the rest was great.
I think there's a really interesting story to be generated from a slightly 'forgotten' story - his role as Pendragon, introduced in Heroes for Hire, where he was destined to defend the world from...
