...and in closing... Giffen was an absolute beast on this book.
Roy peaked as Red Arrow in the JLA. What followed, after his mutilation, was years of character assassination. He was well treated by Kevin Smith, though.
Before we wrap up this thread, is Giffen or either Birnbaum currently working in comics?
He certainly knew who Batman was during Dick’s tenure.
I’m in for Levitz/ Gifffen.
I recognize that the Titans and it’s variants are valuable properties, but keeping Dick connected to them holds him back. He should always “be” a Titan, and a Bat, but neither should be his main...

I don’t think DC made Dick a second tier Batman. He was damn good, and was clearly shown to be superior in his relationships. But...
Traditional Batfans wound not accept a permanent change...
And where the hell is Banshee???
A FAILURE ?
One of the high points of my decades of comics reading.
Great review of a great issue! I loved the interactions between the original group and their older selves... I also like the re introduction of the long- gone Lyle Norg, who stuck around in the DC...
I hope these reviews will keep coming! They are very well done!
Giffen proved to be irreplaceable as a story-man. What a plotter!
Someone called Banshee the “king of cameos” earlier in this thread, I hope these multiple little exposures are building up to a big role, and a
permanent team slot.
I agree there’s no place for Dick on the League with Bruce these. But Bucec is hugely overexposed... let his protege step in, do everything Batman does on the team, and do it with good humor and...
Does anyone know if Dick is slated to join the Justice League proper?
Great issue! Chilling last line!
I agree about Jo. I never liked him before, but this issue showed him as far more relatable and human.
Chuck is an old smoothie!
It’s a beautifully drawn page. Donna looks like a super model...but Dick and Garth look too thin to throw down with anybody outside of a Korean Pop group.
