I didn't find the last mini all that entertaining, but otherwise I have enjoyed the series.
I've heard that the later issues of the original series aren't very good, but the first forty issues or so, that I've read are very good IMO. I also enjoyed the two miniseries from IDW.
Tough times for Valiant, like all the other publishers. Hope the market improves so we can get more Valiant series again.
If you got some of the creators who can do super-heroes really well, without doing generic stories, yes. Guys like Robert Kirkman, Mark Millar and Erik Larsen could probably do outstanding work with...
I thought it was quite good, for the most part. The Crow/Razor series I remember as being boring, but in general I liked it.
I enjoyed the Black Sky series, especially Captain Midnight, as much as the Arcadia series. If you enjoyed the original, I would recommend giving the new series a go.
If you look at Terrific Production's tweets (https://twitter.com/llcterrific), it appears that new material is being drawn. Whether this actually becomes new issues of Youngblood remains to be seen.
This is the last info I've seen on the project: https://www.newsarama.com/46802-image-united-shelved-due-to-todd-mcfarlane-according-to-rob-liefeld.html
Now that you mention it, yes, there should have been an X-O Manowar series. Pleasant surprise that Livewire isn't the final issue. I didn't expect the series to last beyond #12.
Anyway, getting...
I'm a little behind on the series, but yes, the current storyarc is the final part. As for finishing this year, I'll believe it when I see it.
Still have the original issues. Does the trade contain any new/unseen material?
Not really... the 6th issue of Soul Saga would have been nice, though.
Oh... Never mind, found it here: https://www.newsarama.com/43606-new-x-o-manowar-title-coming-this-fall.html
Isn't it just Matt Kindts last issue of X-O? I don't remember reading anywhere that the series is cancelled.
That would be nice. The first mini was a pleasant surprise.
The book is taking a short break before the last story arc.
Good news! I really enjoyed Cyberfrog back in the day. Any word on who's publishing the series?
I can only find a reference to the rights to the name Atlas going to Dynamite, and I don't remember reading about this anywhere. Do you have a link?
Under the wings of Dynamite or IDW, they may be able to resurrect the universe and keep it going for a while. Project: Superpowers did really well in the beginning, I think they just overextended...
Very nice art! Looks interesting!
I think it is just one of those titles that works best for them by doing short runs and mini-series. They are doing exactly the same with Vampirella and Green Hornet.
You are in luck (https://www.newsarama.com/39402-britannia-eagles-of-rome-announcement.html)
Vol. 2 was great IMO, so I really look forward to vol. 3
Ellis' take on Superpowers didn't work for me either. Herokillers was even worse. The original series was good. I especially enjoyed Black Terror and the Owl. Hopefully we'll get something similar.
Please yes, let's forget this piece of crap! What a stinker!
