If I ever get to write a comic, he'll come back as a regular supporting player.
Gerard Jones to write a Green Lantern title.
It might whiz some people off, but I'm going to say flat out that DC doesn't know what to do with any of those Lanterns. That's why, you know, they retconned Jade out of existence and created two...
For anyone who's come here looking for my Hal script, it's at the URL on top.
I want a GL book set on Earth, and I wrote a script to show how to do it. Go over to the Artist and Writer Showcase forum and check it out.
They don't create the problems, They perpetuate them by supporting them financially.
Damned sure were. The kind of people who if Geoff made a big smiley face on all 20 pages, they'd run out and pay $4 for it.
Fine up until the emotional spectrum was introduced. Then it crashed and burned, The fanboys kept buying it though until Geoff left.
Definitely pick up the TPBs of The Road Back, Emerald Dawn I, Emerald Dawn II and Guy Gardner Reborn from Amazon or Ebay. You can find A Guy and His G'Nort for cheap in the bargain bins, and Mosaic...
I agree with that. The problem is that people tend to write Hal and Guy as one-note characters, and Kyle as a special snowflake. And nobody knows what to do with John. And don't get me started on...
By definition, tie-ins are stupid editorial interference.
I've read it too, and it was superb. Jones did great work until Kevin Dooley took over as his editor. They didn't get along, and Jones's work suffered.
Gerard Jones wrote a terrific version of Emerald Twilight that the higher-ups deemed insufficiently shocking, so they fired him and hired Ron Marz to write a much worse versiion.
Oop, wrong thread, Sorry.
I thought this thread was going to be about what the Skipper said to Gilligan.
The Gerard Jones version of Guy. We haven't seen him in a long, long time though. Over in the Artist and Writer Showcase forum, I've posted a sample issue starring him. I've got links to three...
After the Boston Marathon bombings, the American media were quick to praise the people who rushed in and tried to help the victims. But in parts of the world where there are many such bombings,...
I'm not a fan of Batman, but yes, you're right about him there.
Yes, but if you don't think then you're easy to deceive. Just present Hal with a situation in which he imagines he'll be heroic to plunge in, but really it's a trap for him. Then he's done for.
I remember saying on the old DCU boards that they were building up Sinestro to become more or less a good guy, and people answering angrily, "How can a mass murderer become a good guy?"
Nope. Geoff just kinda -- as I say -- did his thing. HEAT wasn't very active for a couple of years leading up to Rebirth because the members were very confident that Geoff would fix everything. ...
If you were in HEAT, as I was, then you know that Geoff was a member. Rebirth was what HEAT wanted. After that, Geoff did his thing.
So what would you guys do to get Hal out of his bonehead mode?
John started out as an angry black man (sorta like Kanye West, haha) because in 1972 Denny O'Neil thought that angry black men were cool That was a long, long time ago though.
