Dude. Would you be fine after being in a coma and finding out a loved one of yours died? It makes sense for her to feel so much anger and trauma after all that.
It's celebrating and encouraging girls in science. Something that should be encouraged and hey, give girls a power fantasy. Boys have them, why not let girls have this?
But this isn't Civil War II anymore. You got to stop concentrating on what happened during that event and concentrate on the now. Mariko Tamaki is doing her best and it seems like she's doing a good...
Jennifer Walters had got a missile to the face, ended up in a coma, almost died, found out her cousin died-murdered at the hands by Clint Barton and you expect her to still be her happy go-lucky...
The book deals with a woman's grief and anger. Mariko Tamaki is good emotion. You're telling me a woman can't make that work? It looks to me she is. And while I haven't exactly woken up from a coma...
I see the reasoning. Just that I think with her being THE Hulk, it even makes a grander statement that Hulk isn't limited to a gender pronoun.
In fairness, Jennifer Walters is the best Hulk there is. Why not call her just Hulk? :)
Fair point there. Still, don't mind the look chosen for Jubilee. I mean, I love that she's team leader regardless.
I'll miss the yellow rain coat for Jubilee but hey, got to keep up with the times and in fairness, she knows fashion. So in other words, great designs and character commentary. Consider me impressed.
Did it occur to you or anyone else that maybe this writer may make something out of characters people didn't originally care about? Let's face it, the X-Men back in 1963; they never made an impact....
Voted the most by entitled fans. ;) Also in regards to sales figures, sometimes those mean nothing in regards to quality. Like Nighthawk is great title but it got bad sales (I wonder why?...
Do you speak for every X-Men fan I assume? Did you read everyone's minds?
Then how do you know it will suck? Observational skills aren't enough.
Thing is, the problem isn't whoever is interested. It's more of bashing the book before one page is written or drawn....
In terms of his interests, this kid sounds like he's based on me. 0_0
Tell me something, why do you think Christina Strain can't write the most obscure characters well enough to give a damn about despite not one page published? Did you travel through time?
Yeah that's exactly what this is and the comments here are reflecting that. So yeah, I believe in this team.
This guy gets it! Thank you!
You know what? I'll be rooting for this. I want Christina Strain to prove everyone here wrong that the book will be crap. Who's to say she can't make characters people haven't looked into worth...
Somehow I doubt that. The thing is given the samples I've read of Tamaki's, I think she can nail. Rarely, I see women's anger being written by actual women so this is great for the character. It's...
So distrusting especially of the writer I see. You guys always give me an excuse to root for Mariko Tamaki's Hulk to succeed.
I'm liking the more muscular, gray look for Jen anyway. It took a while to get used to it but then I look at it more and more.
This is my favorite of the variant covers.

She's beautiful. ^_^ And Merrick, thank you for your words.
So, is Medusa going to get her own ongoing too?
Of course you think it sucks. You geared yourself to hate it even if it's good.
The art's looking great anyway.
