I didn't throw out that number. That's what blacksun dismissively threw out there. I think it's probably closer to 12,000. Which still in the world of mid-level comic books is nothing to sneeze at.

This is an industry where the median of "top selling books" sells slightly under 14,000 copies. Just taking MAR/DC into consideration, their median titles sell around the 25,000-30,000 range. So...
Half these Marvel films were flops or disappointments whose sequels flopped even worse.
Besides, Marvel only used the Avengers roster because they gave their A-Team to Sony and Fox.
WB, not DC. DC never had the power/will to force the issue
Ultimately, WB's unparalleled success in film-making this century hurt DC's chances of having their characters in movies.
Also, teaser trailer =/= narrative trailer. This is just supposed to be a glimpse for a film a year away from opening.
Look at the difference between the F4 teaser and the one that just dropped....
Learning disorder.
1. Wrong.
2. Wrong.
Troll. So. Hard.

RHaTO outsold about a dozen Marvel titles. Try to troll harder.
That was your first mistake.
Not only have we known that World's End was going to lead directly to Cnvergence, here is the solicit that came out in January:
We've known for months that...
I'll go with C: trying real hard to be kewl and anti-aestablishment and failing miserably.
One of the things about Azz is that he's known to be very stubborn and difficult to work with if you're not used to his personality. I think it's pretty common knowledge (and Didio likes to pick at...
That's just my guess. I was thinking that Lex and Bruce are partners against Superman until LL shows his true colors.
Lex .
Yeah, I didn't know to include her or not, since she's more in the Tomasi role as someone who's done a little work here and there, but is most credited as an editor. Rob Williams is another who has a...
Not to mention
1) All the scenes were set either at night or underground
2) The subtitle is DAWN of Justice. I figure that the true heroism and "light" will be seen by the end of the film.

Hmm. So a long-tenured writer who has written several decades of critically acclaimed material, enjoys a good working relationship with the company higher-ups, and is writing one of the main flagship...
So you're saying DC editorial let him do his thing and they aren't The Great Satan.
Thanks for undermining your own arguments.
Do it.
Once again, if this is such a pervasive pattern and it's not "new writer friendly", why are there so many new writers working for DC?
Constantine was selling ~15,000 copies. It...
Source? And also, you act as if this is something new. That no other writer has ever done such a thing.
So? What does that have to do with anything I've just said?
Oh, you have nothing and...
Whoa. We found the one JISLC fan.

That was beautiful.
Wait. You're calling Azz and Robinson "young" writers?
And like everyone else said, the last exit over editorial was two years ago. DC is banking on young writers and writers new to the medium...
Just a tad. I thought it was pretty good. Caught everyone up and moved the plot ahead nicely. The Johnny/Tommy name thing I can chalk up to this book being handled by a completely different editorial...
