But it's still not good. :p
I love Morrison. His ideas are interesting and alive. Morrison lacks the pretension because he totally sells his ideas, which are actually weird and complex. Hickman dresses up simple ideas with...
Not laughable, just opinions that differ from yours.
I think my main problem with his Avengers is just how pretentious it all comes off.
There is a scene early on where Tony tells Steve...
The saving grace of Bendis' run; even with the circular dialogue, he wasn't so obnoxious with the vauge, trying oh so hard to sound smart buzz phrases.
"The machine is broken"
"Everything dies"...
I think I'm the only person who dislikes Hickman, especially his Avengers. I just find it so... dumb.
Constant repetition of silly lines like "the machine is broken," lack of any real...
So Hickman's Avengers is just as bad as I remember, exacerbated by the "chronological" ordering of the New Avengers and Avengers issues.
I've been craving some more modern Marvel, but it seems...
Regarding Cheapgraphicnovels; they are without question the most unprofessional "company" I've ever dealt with.
I'd ordered from them maybe a dozen times until I once received a damaged omnibus. ...
I'm pretty sure it's not even a standard size HC... it's been cancelled.
I think it was Infinite Crisis.
My local comic shop had a copy of the X-Men Messiah Complex hardcover just sitting on the shelf. If anyone here has been looking for this, shoot me a PM.
This is actually already out, and yes it is oversized.
I liked the Marvel Firsts 1990s Omnibus
Wouldn't it seems silly for a company to use multiple logos from a marketing standpoint?
Um... OK...
I thought I had posted a rebuttal to that. No worries.
What's unclear about finally having an Absolute of each Crisis?
I feel the complete opposite. I love the Absolute and hated the tie ins in the omnibus.
I don't know what's confusing about putting the main Infinite Crisis mini in absolute.
It's a watershed series with big name creators.
It stands alone without needing to read low quality tie...
I think Infinite Crisis reads just fine by itself.
I hated all the unnecessary bloat of the omnibus and am glad for an Absolute of just the main event.
Of course it's not endorsing the act, but it is supporting the work of someone who performed those actions.
As a new father, that disgusts me beyond words.
And they individual books are a bear trap. There is no way to enjoy reading 50ish pages of glued binded gutter loss.
Tales of Wonder and Midtown have it.
Nope, that was right. All have since been sold on eBay.
When we moved, I started selling everything, was shocked at the insane amount of money that started coming in, and became addicted.
...
Yeah, bummed vol 3 went OOP so fast; I had it but sold it off when I liquidated everything prior to buying our new house.
Now just trying to replenish with the essentials.
Ordered:
Daredevil Miller omnibus
Daredevil Miller omnibus companion
Elektra omnibus
Uncanny X-Men omnibus vol 1
Uncanny X-Men omnibus vol 2
New X-Men omnibus
Daredevil by Mark Waid OHC...
