I love it when a A-list character doesn't magically beat any C-list character who should mop the floor with them.
Reminds me the time when villains like Beetle were allowed to beat Captain America.

Fantastic Four by Waid and Wieringo. I often dislike Waid's writing, "unthinkable" rubbed me the wrong way and I hated Wieringo's puppy eyes characters.
Hawkeye by Fraction. It turned Hawkeye into...
Really? That was the only redeemable thing from that series.
I hope she'll get to say it to Nighthawk at some point.
The really cringe thing was Kate narrating how she was "litterally intrigued...
There are, but they either were in short lived secondary/unofficial teams (Red Wolf) or were barely relevant members for a short time (Echo)
Oh, and there is currently American Eagle in clean up...
Other than black males: big nope.
IIRC the can turn full human, but she almost never does it because she prefers the hybrid form.
That's what Marvel does all the time in their crappiest comics.
The Hellions, the New Warriors, the Academy X kids, the Avengers Academy kids.
Isn't that a fusion of Mangog and the Destroyer?
Black Panther is already leading the Avengers.
If there was not an University of Latveria, he probably built one just for this purpose.
What stops him from giving himself one?
Priest is a very solid writer, and he is really suited for characters like Deathstroke, US Agent or Black Panther.
That said, I don't like him so much on titles that are more "cape comics" like...
Right now he's a Schrödinger Gargoyle. Last issue of Iron Man had him, as well as Frog Man, Misty and Scarlet Spider caught in an explosion.
Will find out tomorrow if they survided. I'm not too...
Rockslide (Santo).
Good to see that Avengers Academy gets some love. I hope some of Reptil's pals will show up in the story too.
Now if only a black jewish writer could come to Marvel with a pitch about Mettle...
I don't know if he had plans for himself. He likes to set up potential plots or teams for whoever may want to pick them up, but unfortunately, almost nobody does.
Some instances: The Champions of...
Rockslide, of course.
The first one to be killed without being resurrected by the Five. In a story that wasn't even about him, but about Polaris' fee-fees, and Genesis' murderer's family drama.
I hope Ewing is writing this. If he does, and if Cloud is in the story, maybe, just maybe, he'll find a way to make them related.
The origins of Abby's cloud have never been told, after all.
Their face when they resurrected Wolverine but forgot the hair.
I'd rather have Illyana to stick to one team and appear as guest star in a couple of other books.
I don't want my fave character to become one of those filthy Not New Not Different X-Men who are...
If Charles didn't bother making cerebro safeguards for human allies and friends like Sharon Friedlander or Gabrielle Haller, I don't see why he would do it for Shogo or Kyle.
And let them bring back a character (Rockslide) instead of killing some, this time.
That was back when Marvel was ok with iconic characters like Cyclops being in their 30s
Now they avoid to make teen characters grow up to fast, because they would have to age the pevious generations...
Several mutants already use weapons and/or tech in top of their powers: Cable, Domino, Warpath, Dr Nemesis, Nanny...
Why couldn't Angel do the same?
Santo Vaccarro aka Rockslide.
