It's about an old man returning home to a small town in Alabama and **** goes down. The story is really good, but it's also just about the strong sense of setting. I'd say it's almost like Essex...

Southern Bastards for me. I've been considering it my favorite book of 2014, but wanted to wait for the first arc to finish. Got the issue, yeah this is my favorite series to come out this year.
Too Cool to be Forgotten by Alex Robinson (or any of his stuff), Stuck Rubber Baby, anything by Joann Sfar
Southern Bastards. Only 1 issue in (haven't picked up #2 yet) and I'm willing to commit to it over every other book. That's how much I like it.
Another vote here for Super Spy by Matt Kindt
Well said. I personally like it a lot and think a fair amount of the hate it gets comes from people who are just mad it wasn't DKR again
I'm more excited for this book than I have been for anything in years.
Has IDW said anything about another Martini Edition for books 3 & 4? The Score and Slayground look so sad in comparison on my shelf.
Anyone else think that Superman Red Son would make for a really good one of these movies?
Every time I read another issue of this I die a little inside. I mean that in a good way.
