Here it is. But bare in mind that each single issue is alos part of an arc for each hero, so you might be a bit lost as you read them alone

sorry for the texts
For the New52, the only thing you need to read in order are the following, all the other series can pretty much be read on their owns:
Part.0
Watchmen - usefull for later
The Flash by...
I would see him played by Joe Pesci.
Yes but this wont represent the redears from all the world.
It only repressents the English readers that come to CBR.
I know lots of French readers who fear english.
That's a way. But even like that there are too much comics to read to make a choice.
I find paper reading nicer. I pickup only the 2-4 heroes / univers I really like even if it's not perfect....
How about this list:

I'm all with you on that.
Not true at all. You can read an individual hero without even caring about the "line wide events".
And it also not true that line-wide event are all about Batman or Superman. You missed out Flahs...
Pointless coment in my opinion !
If there are "tons of recommended reading threads", where are they ? Show an easy to find one !
If "stuff is really easy to find" why didn't you share them quickly...
JL's origines is in "DC: Legends". As well as the creation of the "Suicide Squad".
Event that directly continues with JLI and Suicide Squad.
And no clue for Aquaman.
Well, vilains have always had "sympathetic" backstories since the dawn of time. It's nothing new.
Nice list you got there but why no include every heroes:
Aquaman by Peter David - good run
Green Lantern: Hal Jordan - collects Emerald Down I & II - then go on with the regular serie
Doom...
Try the mini-serie "JSA: Golden Age". You'll have it all in one mini serie.
Then you can read the non-canon (but it could very well be) "DC: The New Fontier".
Then I will give you the mains events/JL things to read:
Crisis On Infinite Earths (Omnibus)
The New Teen Titans (Marv Wolfman)
DC: Legends - prequel to JLI and Suicid Squad
Justice...
First of here are a few question:
- What is "old" for you ?
- Do you know how comics are published ?
- Have you heard of the following terms "Golden Age", "Silver Age", "Bronze Age", "Modern...
You don't get it, sales don't mean quality product. It just means there was a hype around it.
Aquaman never had hype, a bit when the movie came out, that's all. Aquaman is always underrated. I...
Good riddance of Snyder and Capullo.
How about:
- Dan Abnett - he did gread on Aquaman
- Sean Murphy - he is excellent on White Knight
- Robert Venditti - he was great on Hal Jordan
But I'm...
You'd have a quicker and shorter answer on whitch characters can't DC use at free will.
The only one I can think of right now is Gen13.
Indeed - I will correct it
Ok a bit of history first:
1970 - softening of the Comics Code, start of the Bronze Age.
1985 - abolishment of the Comics Code, start of the Modern age.
So In 1985, DC decided to clean all...
Small HC that reprint the content of a TPB or the Deluxe HC are quickly out of print and rarely reprinted.
The ones that stay in print are the big Omnibus HC.

I didn't mention issues not colled in trades. There indeed a few in the FF title and in the Wolverine title.
