That took about NINE YEARS.
Whereas the first issue of Red Hood and the Outlaws has Roy talking to Starfire about their shared Titans history... history that had been negated by this reboot....

Oh, there are a lot of examples of bashing resulting from character death, my friend. Not so many examples of refusing to off a character despite the orders of the Powers That Be, unfortunately.
The Post-Crisis Universe didn't screw up a brand-new continuity in the FIRST issue.
Be vewy, vewy quiet. I'm hunting wabbits! Heh heh heh heh heh!
Like I said, if you wrote it in your story and you took the paycheck for it, you're guilty. As you just mentioned, there was always the Power Girl option, in which Supergirl could have discovered...
PLENTY of people bashed Ron Marz for Emerald Twilight. You mean to tell me you've never heard of H.E.A.T.??
I haven't heard anyone bash anyone for Barry's death. But I've heard from someone...
Just because they can get someone else to get their hands dirty instead, that doesn't mean you should do the job. At least YOUR hands will stay clean, and people on message boards won't be deservedly...
It doesn't matter. If you wrote the deaths happening in your story, deaths you agreed to write in a story you took the paycheck for, then you are guilty. Just because Editorial told you to write...
Eh. Superman sales didn't skyrocket after Man of Steel hit, so you shouldn't expect the following movies to help, either.
Q Doesn't Live Here Anymore. But Jim Lee does, and he's had a hand in designing or at least approving these DCnU designs.
You just spoiled the ending of the "Truth" story. :p
In the DiDio-era, DC books are creatively at a low ebb, as they try ANYthing to "look kewl!" to the detriment of the characters.
I don't like the worst aspects of Jim Lee/Rob Liefeld '90s design.
Apparently, the previous design wasn't "'90s throwback" enough for Dan and the Gang.
Those are all one issue visits of those universes. Your Morrison quote envisions a LINE of ongoing series of EACH of them.
Meh. Where's "the Charlton/Watchmen world of Earth 4" series with Vic...
"Coulda, shoulda, woulda..." ISN'T.
DC hasn't made a line of books for any of these other universes, and they aren't going to start now or ever. Heck, they could have kept the DCU and made this...
As mentioned before, new stories don't have to constantly refer to previous canon in order to work. And DC has had its share of characters who have tampered with time.
Again, that a long-running series with a lot of continuity behind it CAN garner PLENTY of new, avid fans withOUT a reboot.
Actually, that makes Doctor Who a PERFECT example. There are continuity errors and changes in ANY Long Runner, including the DCU. Indeed, your DCnU started screwing up its BRAND-NEW continuity in its...
I've been saying that for ages.
Take Doctor Who, for example. The series has become more popular than ever before, since the 2005 resurrection. And it did so withOUT rebooting the history and...
Time Warner and Disney are MAJOR corporate rivals. (I've heard of one TW corporate retreat that was all about indoctrinating its staff to hate the Mouse.) So, even if Dan and the Gang didn't think...
As with the DC characters, darkening him up misses the point of the character. I know SG kinda looks like Batman sans ears, but that doesn't mean you should make him like Batman.
DC thinks they're too cool for most Hanna-Barbera characters. Remember, these are the people who tried to make Space Ghost Darker and Edgier.
He's just that forgettable!
It doesn't matter to me what opinion you have on the comics, man. You don't need to threaten people.
