Yes, it's on hiatus right now. Last issue (14) took a little too long to come out, and now they are officially on break between arcs. Looking like we won't see another issue until September at the...
1. Aaron (Southern Bastards)
2. Hickman (East of West)
3. Remender (Deadly Class)
4. Vaughn (Saga)
5. Kot (Zero, Wolf)
Black Mask gave an update on their ongoing books a couple months back, and it was mentioned that issue 2 has been finished for months. The creators want to get more in the can before releasing the...
Don't know how I missed this poll before. Reading black science, deadly class and tokyo ghost. Deadly class for me. No question.
For those who read the first issue of Prophet: Earth War, is it new reader friendly? I like what I read of Prophet, but didn't finish out the series.
Picked up Wolf and Tokyo Ghost. Tokyo Ghost was good, but for some reason this book still isn't sinking it's teeth into me completely. I've been loving Remender's Image books, but I think the...
Only picked up east of west. Fantastic issue. Series hasn't let me down yet.
Picked it up but haven't read it yet. I can only imagine what I'm getting myself into.
Only picked up Wolf, and it earned the vote. Lots of new development of the existing plot while introducing even more mystery. Really loving this book so far
The 3.99 price might just be for the first issue. I think Remender did the same with Low and then it dropped down to 3.50 for the following issues.
Only picked up Material and 8House. Sort of a "meh" week. Neither one made much of an impression on me. Vote goes to 8House for the art.
I'd be thrilled with 12 issues. My guess was 6/the first arc and then he'd walk. Either way, really, really excited to pick this up. First Dynamite book I've been excited about in forever.
I was hoping that's what happened. So badass. Love it.
So for those who read the issue, was that final scene set in the present or the past? The first scene in that setting was clearly in the past, so I was a tad confused.
Only picked up Wolf this week, so that get's my vote. Was a decent issue overall. Established more of the world, which was cool. Thought the resolution to the vampire cliffhanger from issue one was...
I recall Remender saying in an interview or a letters column that he's not planning as many issues of Deadly Class as he is for Black Science/Low. Probably mid 30's. Depending on sales of course.
Picking up:
8HOUSE #6
BLACK SCIENCE #17
DESCENDER #7
THE HUMANS #9
MATERIAL #6
NAMELESS #6
OUTCAST #13
PAPER GIRLS #2
Descender was the only book I picked up this week, but man, did it deliver. Get's my vote easily. Really loved the payoff after last issues cliffhanger.
You are not alone, my friend.
Agree with the review above. I felt similarly with Zero, in that I felt like a fly on the wall during many of the issues, observing the mundane, but that didn't make the experience/story any less...
That's funny, I was picking up some Hickman vibes as well.
Only picked up Wolf this week. Loved it. No qualms about giving it my vote.
I really dug this issue. Sort of a familiar premise, but still feels very much like a Kot book, so definitely appeals to my sensibilities. Lots of mysterious seeds planted here to be explored...
Zero
East of West
Southern Bastards
(Deadly Class and Saga aren't too far behind)
