I'm 6 blocks from that shop, and yes, the Batman love is quite evident on the shelves...
Their "current approach" being about 20 yrs old, unfortunately... :(
War of the Realm #1-6, Omega: I know I'm way late on this, but it honestly never excited me enough to read even though I bought all of these upon release. For me, this was a very disjointed read. ...
You'd think DC would've learned their lesson by now when it comes to assigning dates/times to anything...
That's also possible. A potential problem with that would be when one issue spoils something in another that was meant to be read simultaneously. But I'm guessing such things don't really cross...
Wow, I've read all of Jimenez' WW as well as Robinson's JL stuff and I have no memory of either. Getting old sucks...
I'd say Sue's mullet was the problem, not the corner box... ;)
Oh, they absolutely were...
Exhibit A! lol
Poor Carmine would be dragged through the mud if he made such a statement today... :p
The War of the Gods omni is skippable if you have WW by Perez Vol. 3 omni; it contains the mini series plus the WW tie-in issues. Unless you really want those random issues of Animal Man, Doctor...
Truly Booster's finest hour...

Ding ding ding!
The first criteria for women's fashion in 90's comics...
Well that doesn't sound good. :-/
Hope you feel better soon!
I haven't seen any of them in FS yet, and wouldn't expect to.
To my knowledge, Maya and Lionheart haven't even shown up post-Zero Hour. And Taz ended up a throw rug.
Love it!
Did you ever get a chance to read the New Wings mini? We're eagerly awaiting your review... :p
Do yourself a favor and track that series down (singles are probably easier, as the trades are OOP). After Johns, Bunn is the best writer to happen to Sinestro imho...
Convince Cullen Bunn to come back and do a mini series? :)
Uh oh, I must've missed something.
It's gotten hard to keep track of how many creators are actually creeps... :(
^ ^ ^
You're like a wittier Bendis! ;)
Yes, for now I'm pretending just that! :p If/when they shoehorn Batman into the JSA, I will simply shake my head and laugh. I might even give the book a try!
However once upon a time I...
He is a great writer, and I actually enjoyed what he did with Psylocke/Kwannon... until I went back a few years later and read Claremont's arc. Then it became clear that - despite his intentions -...
While I personally wasn't a fan of what Stewart & Tarr were doing, that's another good example of DC shooting themselves in the foot. Chasing off popular/marketable creators with behind the scenes...
I completely agree that it's frustrating. It's one of the reasons I don't buy collections of modern day events; they're almost never in a coherent reading order.
If it's an event I'm interested...
No real reason? How else are you supposed to dig yourself out of your own grave, if not with a big-ass sword?
Pleeez don't give them any ideas! :p
