Spectacular issue! Loved it. Writing and art!
Literal and metaphorical character assassination. Hated every inch of this issue.
That painting is by John Watson. His signature is at bottom left.
All those other Texans voting “South” instead of “South West” means we’re not going to progress to the next round. <cry>
This was another great issue. I'm so happy to see Mal and Karen get some LONG overdue spotlight.
As DC's first black (super-)hero and super-heroine, they deserve much better than the shabby...
Ummm your major two points here about Roy and Garth are flat-out wrong I'm sorry to say.
1. Roy DID make that ******* "second-rate" comment to Mal. And Mal immediately ran off and had his...
Pretty good story. Great art.
Impala was a bit of a disappointment unfortunately. Nice mask but would have liked to see more of a costume, if even just a logo on his shirt.
I also hated that we...
My point was that Hal and John aren’t going anywhere; so to invest in any new Earth Lanterns is just going to lead to heartbreak (see: Kyle Rayner fans).
But I am like Cassandra; I can only warn...
Has this book actually been confirmed as a Vixen team-up title or is she just appearing in the first three issues and we’re all running ahead of ourselves?
True, but this is a John Stewart Appreciation Thread, not a Hal Jordan Disappreciation Thread, so if certain people could stop complaining about him so much, that would also help this thread stay on...
^ I really liked Mari and Ben as a couple. I wouldn't mind seeing them get back together.
^ This! Or more accurately, how about we all just agree that Hal and John are both great characters and that's why DC has kept both of them in active use for decades; and, judging by John's focus in...
All these people complaining about John getting the same story occasionally meanwhile Kyle Rayner and Guy Gardner out here on the unemployment line. lol
^^^ Well, I mean that's EXACTLY what 'The Other History of the DC Universe' is here to explore: what were the black (and other minority) heroes of the DCU doing while all these events were happening?...
I think you should read it before leaping to conclusions about it. This book is a biography (more or less) of Jefferson Pierce and his relationship with other DC super-heroes (particularly black...
I think the more likely story is that, rather than disliking Fisher, Whedon did what any other director would have done when looking at the bloated hours of grimdark footage that Snyder shot and...
I also can't wait.
Can I ask a question though? Is is too late to change the title of the comic? I feel like DC is setting you up for failure by calling it "Truth and Justice". What does that even...
The Herald codename/costume retcon occurred in 'Secret Origins' Annual #3 (the Teen Titans issue), as did costume retcons for Bumblebee and Golden Eagle. All were improvements IMO.
I actually have no doubt Ridley is going to address Mal's crises of identities in the next issue of 'Other History...' so we'll see if that helps us decide which role is best for him.
Has a legacy character ever had a more tenuous connection to their predecessor than "I kinda liked their costume". LOL
^ I cannot wait for that issue but I have a strong feeling that (fairly or unfairly) the Titans are not going to come off well in it. IIRC Karen's whole purpose in becoming Bumblebee was to show Mal...
P.S. I don't think it takes much to improve Mal even without the Guardian identity. Most people seem to agree that he works better as the more down to earth street-fighter type character that he...
I would buy it! DC really needs to show more respect for it's first black male and black female super-heroes! (I guess we should be thankful they've never been killed off in any of the Titans...
Captain Cold
Gorilla Grodd
Mirror Master
Trickster
Why would Vixen ever mimic the abilities of any other animal if she could just be Krypto all the time? Or a dragon? And how would she ever be in danger again if she could just copy the powers of...
