A Mirror Q would destroy The Empire for the betterment of several evolving species. A Mirror Dominion would be quietly helping other races advance; sort of an anti-prime directive

Unfair. The poll doesn't include Western
What? Brokeback What?
Psionc folk who can't work their mojo without fondling their temples. With all the special effects available, can't actors trust the output and just work their expressions?
Suave: Cary Grant
Elegant: Grace Kelly
Stately: Sir Patrick Stewart
Relatable: Jennifer Lawrence
Watching a Star Trek Mirror Universe episode.
There should be some characters who never have a Dark Verse Counterpart. E.G.: Q is beyond morality.
Some of those are a bit tough because they can also overlap other genres. The Sound of Music, for example, is a Historical Romantic Musical Comedy Drama
I can't believe that I overlooked Sue! Good call!
Ah. Fair point.
Probably more a controversial opinion post, but I'll answer.
The problem with your position is that there are actions that cannot be undone. That redefine us for the worse.
Perhaps most...
I offer no vote. There have been some really great and some really awful adaptations in both.
I did like the DISC version of the TOS uniforms better, seeing them as a nice compromise between the DISC and TOS designs. But, it's a matter of taste I suppose.
Yeah, probably a fair point.
Maybe for the best they don't. Revisiting something you loved in childhood can be really cringy. Batman'66 taught me that.
Two questions about SNW:
Anybody know why they changed the uniforms from the modified TOS look when Pike, et al. were (re)-introduced in DISC?
Anybody prefer the previous look to what they used...
That's very sad. Loved Franklin, but Kyle was cool too. His maturity made the weapons development and starship hitchhiking backstory seem more viable. But then, "Gropos" would have really lacked for...
One that faintly bothers me is the depiction of laser weapons, in no small part b/c I worked in an industry that used a variety of them extensively.
There's no dodging a laser beam, even if...
No.
And double extra No. :)
I agree. The Percy Jackson series also seemed to require some time to get traction on these boards.
Why do some of us still suffer miserably from allergies? If Darwin was right, shouldn't evolution eliminated us back in the hunter-gatherer stage?
I think on Jason from WW. They could have used The Olympian, but the writer wanted an emotional connection to Diana. IMO, it sucked, but I get the point.
I really enjoyed the recent Percy Jackson streaming series. I especially enjoyed its depiction of the Greek Gods, which seemed closer to the source mythology than anything I've seen.
Yeah, they...
Honestly, it won't disappoint me if we give Magneto a break. Time for somebody like Mastermind, Calisto or Black Tom Cassidy to field a crew for reasons less pure than Magneto's so we can fully...
IMO, there's room for both. Especially in today's world, where people whose acts you can't abide can have an enemy in common with you. Of course, that's really a core plot point of Singer's initial...
I have a similar reaction to rewatching Babylon 5.
Was Jonny Sekka fired from Babylon 5 after the pilot, or was he unavailable/did he quit before it went into regular production?
