Taylor is pretty consistent and he knows how to give characters unique voices. I'll give this a fair shot. There's a good chance Jon will have a distinctive personality here.

I wonder if Marvel will ever admit that this is not a team book.
Betsy is done well enough as always while all the side characters support her.
No, I mean some people think WB stated that the Static movie would be HBO Max when they never said which medium they were looking into. The website reporting just assumed that Static would be lower...
Static on HBO was conjecture from the website. It's still up in the air.
It's possible this has more to due with what Hera has going on with infinite frontier.
Could have sworn Hera was just killed.
I'm basing that thought off the mythology present in her Future State story and also her and Hypolitta's conversation in the infinite frontier book.
I'll agree to wait and see however.
Yeah, that's news to me.
Hopefully, he can be a long lasting character
I suppose Yara gets to Themyscira earlier than I thought. That, or Nubia goes to her.
Also the detail for those braids is immaculate.
Hopefully Bendis actually uses the correct framework for a mystery story this time, but I won't read so it doesn't matter to me.
No, just as his daughters. They were setting up a Christmas tree as a family.
Edit: As for the actual event... You didn't miss much.
They're his daughters again. We saw that in endless winter I believe.
You are aware that this Siegfried is still white right.
Yes, you can find 5 randoms, but the point of the story is we don't know what/who these guys are at all. Changing the characters fundamentally changes the story and by that point why? Cause a few...
How would this story work with pre-existing characters.
A group of mutant lovers that may actually be precursors to the race that's supposed to end mutants? That's hilarious.
Based on the silhouette and the colors, the mystery person could be Deadman? Possibly? Also can we keep Siegfried, I already like him better than Steve.
I actually loved this issue. Having high hopes for now.
Wonder Woman had that pose first
This month has five weeks so I think maybe not?
Yeah, that's what I got. I think it's pretty meta. Spectre represents the fans that don't like how Jon is, while wonder woman is saying "give him a chance and he might surprise you"
I mean, I'm sure it's not intentional but there's a not so great implication of Hippolyta hiding her black daughter and exalting her white one. It's an odd choice.
Hopefully the Nubia and Amazons book clears this up.
The fact that DC describes this book as character defining (and the title) makes me think Kara will become superwoman in this.
